Elegant Upsy Daisy

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Hope your weekend went well! We are having beautiful weather here in southwest Missouri!

Today's card is made with Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

My card is a 5 inch square of PTI white card stock. I followed that by 1/4 inch smaller piece of elegant eggplant. The beautiful DS paper is from the Autumn Traditions pack. The piece to the side is elegant eggplant again that I ran through the cuttlebug with my swiss dot embossing folder. The ribbon is the whisper white Organza Ribbon. I stamped the flowers in elegant eggplant ink and cut the circle and scallop circle with my nesties. The sentiment is stamped with eggplant on some scrap white and punched out with the oval punch and layered onto a punched oval scallop. I added a small library clip.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Fall Thanks So Much

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!!

The card I am sharing with you today is made with Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge.

I am definitely into the fall/Halloween mode! I just love this time of the year! My card is made with the Autumn Days Stamp Set. It is a set I got back in June when we could pre-order from the catalog. I have used it once maybe! So it need to see some ink!!!

The base of the card is Soft Suede, followed by always artichoke and then three strips of the Autumn Traditions DS paper. I used a little bit of some always artichoke 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment comes from the Trendy Trees Set and is stamped onto some scrap white with soft suede ink and punched out with the word window punch. That is then layered onto the always artichoke piece that wa punched with the Modern label punch.

I stamped the main image panel with the berries inked with really rust and then used my always artichoke marker to color in the stems. The pheasant is stamped onto some scrap white with soft suede ink and cut out and mounted to the main image with some dimensionals. I cut the circle and scallop with my cuttlebug and nestie dies. I, of course, pierced the scallop circle.

I finally cut out a couple of leaves from the DS paper and added them just under the edge of the main panel. I then added a few gold sticky rhinestones to the corners and to the sentiment piece.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by, I am off to the Farmers Market!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

WSC Merry Christmas

TGIF Peeps!!!!

Today's card is made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.

I still had the Season of Joy Stamp Set out on my craft table from the card I made earlier this week so I grabbed it to use with this sketch. I used shimmer white and PTI's Night Sky Shimmer cardstock for this card. That blue is sooooo pretty.

I used the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder for the two white layers. The "ornament" main image panel is made by cutting a circle into some scrap white cardstock. I used some temporary adhesive to attach it to my circle and sponged around the edges with night of navy ink. I then inked up the stamp with more night of navy ink and stamped onto the cardstock. I removed the scrap circle and there you have the "ornament". I added a small square to the top and put some silver string through it. I cut a scallop circle with my nesties and cuttlebug and glued the ornament to that. I pierced the centers of each scallop with my mat pack and piercing tool.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto some scrap shimmer white and punched it out with my large oval punch. I matted the sentiment with a piece I punched with my scallop oval punch. The ornament piece and sentiment piece are attached with dimensionals. I added a few silver sticky rhinestones to the ornament and a bow with some white organza ribbon.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Merry Christmas

Happy Hump Day peeps!

Today's card is made with the splitcoast sketch challenge.

My card is inspired by this beauty by Deb. I loved her design and how she stamped the swirl onto the DS paper.

I changed up her design to fit the sketch. I started the card with a base of chocolate chip. I used PTI white card stock and old olive DS paper. I added some gold sticky rhinestones to the tree and the corners. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment. The old olive paper was punched with my EK Success dotted zig-zag border punch. The ribbon is some chocolate chip satin, retired. The tree was stamped with old olive ink onto scrap white and cut out and added with some dimensionals.

Well, that is it for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

WSC House of Haunts

Good Morning Peeps!!!

Just a quick post today, I wanted to share this card with a new set for me, House of Haunts. It is really a fun Halloween set! I loved Halloween, but I like the fun and cute stuff, not blood and gore, this set fits that bill, I think. It is slightly creepy but still just alot of fun!

The card uses the Weekend Sketch Challenge.

The card is a 5 x 5 inch square. The base is perfect plum and the DS paper is from the Cast-A-Spell pack. Each layer is matted with basic black. I stamped the haunted house image onto summer sun card stock with a black pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used versamark to stamp the tree image to the side of the house. The sentiment is also embossed. The ribbon and sticky black pearls are from Michael's.

Well, that is all for today, I am heading off to a friends house this afternoon for some stamping and fun!!! Thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SC242 HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card is made with this weeks sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

I know I am pushing it a bit, but you all know I love Halloween.

I changed up the sketch just slightly to fit my sentiment. I put the sentiment strip in front of the orange strip, in the sketch it was behind. Just a little change, otherwise the layout is just the same.

The pumpkins from the Autumn Harvest set was stamped onto watercolor paper, I used markers and my aquapainter to color them in. The sentiment comes from the retired stamp set Autumn Apparitions.

The base of the card is old olive and the designer series paper is from the Cast-A Spell pack. Each layer is matted with basic black. I added some 1/4 inch black grosgrain ribbon and to the sentiment panel I added three black sticky pearls.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Ghostly Greetings & a Punched Snowman

Happy Hump Day Peeps!! Hope your week is going well, so far!

Today I have two cards to share with you, the first is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I really love this sketch and will save it for future use.

I used another stamp from the Twick or Tweet Stamp Set, that will be available Sept. 1st. I stamped the ghost onto some PTI white cardstock with black stazon. The base of the card is pumpkin pie followed by basic black and the DS paper Cast-A-Spell.

I used my MS drippy goo punch at the bottom and added the "X" stitches with black embroidery floss and a needle. I used some pumpkin pie ribbon and a black grommet and tied a knot through the grommet. I added some stardust stickles to the ghost. I stamped the greeting onto some scrap white and punched out with the word window punch and mounted it to a pumpkin pie piece punched with the modern label punch. I added two black sticky pearls to the label.

This next card is a total CASE of this adorable creation by Heather. She has a video and a free PDF file to download for this cutie.

I think that snowman is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. I am seriously thinking of signing up for her online punch class.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! Hope your week is going well so far!

The card is started with a base of what else, Rich Razzleberry. I followed that with some white cardstock and then the DS paper is from the Razzleberry Lemonade DS pack.

The flower and sentiment are both from the Level 3 Hostess Set, Kind & Caring Thoughts. I used the word window punch for the sentiment and mounted it to the main image panel with some dimensionals. I cut the scallop circle with my nesties and cuttlebug and I pierced the scallops with my piercing tool and mat pack.

I replaced the circle element from the sketch with a bow. The ribbon is the polka dot rich razzleberry grosgrain. The main image panel is matted with melon mambo cardstock.

Sketch Pair

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I have a pair of cards to share, both made with a sketch challenge and both made with the same stamp set and papers.

The set is a new one out of the upcoming mini, called Twick or Tweet. The Designer Series Paper is also new Night and Day.

The first one is made with this sketch from Beate's Blog.

This next one:

is made with Jen's Sketch for you to Try.

Both sketches are very similar and so I thought they would make a cute little set. Both cards start with a base of PTI white cardstock. The DS paper is matted with basic black or white cardstock.

The image is stamped with black stazon onto watercolor paper. I masked off the sentiment on one of the images. I colored both of them in with some pumpkin pie and really rust ink and my aqua painter. The ribbon is some I had in my stash and I believe I bought it at Michael's awhile back. It is 1/4 inch stitched back velvet.

I added a couple of pumpkin pie buttons to one and three white brads to the other.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Kind Thanks

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

Today I am sharing another card I put together with the Medallion background stamp. I really like how easy you can put a card together with this stamp, you NEED this one for sure!!!!

This card started with a base of Crushed Curry. I used very vanilla cardstock to stamp the Medallion image onto with crushed curry ink. I used my scallop edge punch at the bottom and matted it with some basic black cardstock. The sentiment comes from the Thank You Kindly Stamp set and is stamped with black stazon ink. I used my piercing tool and mat pack to pierce the scallops.

I then stamped the medallion center onto some more very vanilla and cut out the square piece and matted it with more basic black. I added a black brad to the center and mounted the piece with some dimensionals. I tried to line the top image up over the bottom matching the designs.

Well, that is it for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Medallion Thank You

TGIF Peeps! Hope you all had a good week and are going to have an even better weekend!!!

Today's card is one I made with this weeks sketch challenge and I also used this weeks Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast.

I have been wanting to use this Medallion Background stamp every since I got it, so I pulled it out for this combined challenge card. The Ways to use it challenge was to use Variegated color in some way on our card. I pulled out my now retired Pumpkin Patch Spectrum Ink pad and inked up my medallion stamp. I then stamped it onto some PTI white cardstock, I had to do this several time to get the image I wanted. I then trimmed it down a bit to fit the sketch challenge main image panel. Roxy, the sketch challenge moderator, always gives dimensions for the panels in her card, which I find very helpful. You of course don't have to adhere to her exact dimensions but it is great starting point to achieve the sketch.

I then mounted my image onto some crushed curry and then dusty durango. I used my piercing tool and mat pack to pierce all around the edge of the design. I used some dusty durango polka dot ribbon, turned to the solid side to add my ribbon treatment to the panel. The sentiment comes from the Thank You Kindly stamp set and is stamped with black stazon onto some more PTI white and cut out. I cut the end with a square punch, at an angle, and did the same with the layered dusty durango mat. I added a filigree flower with a rhinestone brad in the center to the end of the sentiment panel. I curved the sentiment and mounted it tho the mail panel.

The base of the card is dusty durango, followed by some PTI white and then two pieces of crushed curry that was ran through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I cut a small 1/2 inch square in half at an angle to make the corner elements and then I added a silver brad in the middle of each.

The main panel is mounted onto the base with some dimensionals.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Cute As A Bug

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!! Hope your week is going well.

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Recesses Window Tutorial on Splitcoast. I saw a card that Beate had made with the tutorial and wanted to give it a try.

I just had gotten this fun little set called "Love Bug". It is a level 1 hostess set in the current catalog. I stamped the bug twice onto some watercolor paper and used my blender pen and some Bermuda bay and rose red ink to color the bug. I then cut out the bug and mounted it over the first one with some dimensionals.

The base of the card is made with Bermuda Bay and followed with some rose red cardstock and then the DS paper comes from the Thoroughly Modern pack. The card took me quite some time to make because this was my first one, but once I got it down, I think the next one would be much easier. Still this card is a bit tricky, with all the measuring and scoring and cutting out. I added an extra bit of measuring by adding the frame around my middle piece, that is not shown in the tutorial. I just thought it needed it since I didn't get my center square cut exactly perfect and this little mat covers up any imperfections.

Well that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mercy's Sketch Thank You

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card with you that I made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Another great sketch from Mercy and as you can see I have once again used more rich razzleberry, can you believe I actually am going to need to order another pack of this cardstock really soon!?!!? LOL!!!

I also used the For All You Do Stamp Set, my current favorite. I used old olive for the stems and stamped the flowers in rich razzleberry and crushed curry on scrap cardstock and cut them out and mounted to the base with some dimensionals. I added some sticky pearl halves to the center of the flowers. I used the Thank you stamp from this set and stamped it with rich razzleberry and used my small and large oval punches to punch out and layer.

I used some melon mambo ribbon that I gathered and used some scor-tape to stick down. I used a couple of staples at the end of each.

Well, that is all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Mojo For All You Do

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I really had fun working with this sketch and I built my card from the bottom up, instead of the top down like I usually do. I started the card with my base of my favorite rich razzleberry and then followed that with some whisper white and then more of the wonderful cottage wall DS paper. Then my two slanted elements are white and more DS paper I used old olive ribbon and the sentiment and flower are both from the SU set, "For All You Do". I added some silver elements with brads and silver sticky rhinestones. Altho it is not stated in the catalog, perfect plum is also a match to this DS paper and I used that for the piece that the sentiment panel is mounted on.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STMAPING!!!

Always on My Mind

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today's card is made with Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I was blog surfing awhile back and saw this beauty by Nancy Morgan. My card is pretty much a CASE of hers. I so wanted to try the beautiful flowers from Fifth Avenue Floral in black and white like hers! My sentiment comes from the SU set Stem Sayings. I added three black brads and a spiral clip with some black and white checkered ribbon.

One of the flowers is stamped on scrap paper and cut out and added to the card with some dimensionals. I added some crystal effects to some petals of the rose like the original.

Saturday afternoon and evening I spent with my friend Lois. We had such fun, we always do. We laughed so much and in between we made this:

This is a super fun project that Lois had purchased the tutorial of from Becky Roberts, a super talented lady and fellow Catty Cruise Mate.

I wanted to make a Halloween one and Lois was going to make a Christmas themed one, but after we started, Lois ended up with a Halloween themed one as well, we are both going to try a Christmas one soon. I used three different stamp sets on this, one is retired, Autumn Apparitions and Tasty Sweet and Batty for You are current. The DS paper I used is retired.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Sweet Halloween

TGIF Peeps!!!!

Well, I finally got some time to play with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I know it is a bit early for Halloween cards but I couldn't help myself, I just recently got this DS paper and had to use it! I love Halloween so I am sure you will be seeing alot more in the next few months!

This card turned out to be fairly big, it is 4 inches wide by 8 inches long. I had to make it that size to accommodate the sketch and the stamps I wanted to use.

I started out with a base of basic black and followed that with some pumpkin pie cardstock and then some of the new Cast-A Spell Ds paper.

I was very much inspired by this card by Nancy Riley. Isn't is just adorable!!!
I used the same cardstock colors and DS paper she used. I just changed it up to fit the sketch and the stamps I used.

I stamped the pumpkins from Autumn Harvest on watercolor paper. I stamped the small pumpkin first and then made a mask for it with some sticky note paper and then stamped the large pumpkin. I colored them with my aqua painter and used the following inks, more mustard, pumpkin pie and really rust. I also used some chocolate chip ink for the stem and ground.

The sentiment comes from the retired SU set Autumn Apparitions, which I love and wish it had never retired! I also used some pumpkin pie corduroy brads and button. I used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch and the SU scallop edge punch.

I don't know what you would mail this in, I don't have any envies this size. Since it is very large, It could be just added to a gift or tray of treats or used for decoration, I guess!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Wonderful Nestie Flowers

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all are having a good week so far. It is almost the weekend!!!

Today's card is made with this weeks sketch on Splitcoast.

Again I am trying to use some more of the new in-colors, instead of rich razzleberry. This time I chose Bermuda Bay, I haven't gotten my new ink pad yet so I knew I would have to co-ordinate another color with it. So, I went to my new DS pack Thoroughly Modern and chose some colors from there.

On the first card I did sneak in a little bit of rich razzzleberry! I started the card with a base of Bermuda Bay and followed it with some GP white, (I use some of that cheap white cardstock when I am just layering, not for stamping on) I then followed that with some of the DS paper from the Thoroughly Modern DS paper. The next strip layer is made up of rich razzleberry and then more of the DS paper. I tied some of the Bermuda bay polka dot grosgrain ribbon arond the middle.

I stamped the sentiment, from the All Holidays Stamp Set, with rich razzleberry onto some PTI white cardstock, it is layered with more Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I pierced all around the edges with my piercing tool and mat pack.

I used my scallop circle nesties to make my flower for the circle element in the sketch. I cut two scallops out of the Bermuda bay and one small circle out of some scrap Shara Sand. I then ran all of those through my cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder. I used some tempting turquoise ink to sponge around the edges to add a bit of depth. I used my paper snips to cut in toward the middle of the flower at each scallop. The center Shara Sand circle was glued on before cutting the petals. I put the two layers of the petals together with a few dimensionals. The flower was then glued directly to the base.

I mounted the sentiment piece over the flower with more dimensionals. I then added some sticky white pearls to the corners.

This next one is made in just the same manner but I change the colors to Rose Red for the flower and ink for the sentiment.

I added some very small sticky pearls to the center of this flower.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mercy's Sketch Thoughts & Prayers

Happy Hump Day peeps!!! Hope your week is going well, we are on the down hill slide to the weekend!

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. When I sit down to make this card I knew I needed to use something other than Rich Razzleberry, So I chose Dusty Durango, another fave of the in-colors, but I don't have any DS paper to match it yet, so I reached for an old favorite, chocolate chip, I knew I had DS paper to match it!!!

I started the card with a base of chocolate chip cardstock cut to 5 by 10 inches and folded in half. I then followed that with some dusty durango and then some textured DS paper from the now retired Parisian Breeze pack.

The two middle strips are chocolate chip and dusty durango. I used a small cuttlebug embossing folder for the design on the dusty durango. The center element is made up of chocolate chip, dusty durango and PTI white. The stamp set is Thoughts & Prayers. I inked the tree up with dusty durango and then used my chocolate chip marker to go over the trees limbs and trunk. The sentiment is stamped with dusty durango as well. I used my corner rounder punch on the white and dusty durango pieces. I added the chocolate chip button to the side to cover up an ink smudge that some how happened when I was using my stamp-a-ma-jig for the sentiment!!! :(

The upper corner of the image panel has a spiral clip and some durango polka dot grosgrain ribbon.

I then added some antique copper brads and 1/4 inch durango punched circles. to the upper left corner.

On a personal note, one of my older brothers was diagnosed recently with hepatitis C and is really not doing well, I am very worried for him and would appreciate any thoughts and prayers sent up for him! The whole time I was making this card he was on my mind.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Mojo Monday on Tuesday

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps. I was up early and out for my walk before it got toooo hot!! It was still nice just a Little after 7 this morning.

Today I am sharing my Mojo Monday Sketch Card on Tuesday. I know I have been using the new in color, rich razzleberry, way to much lately and I promise I will try to move on soon! My intention yesterday was to get two cards done, the mojo one and also the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, but I had a bit of a headache most of the day yesterday and I struggled with this mojo one for ever, I walked away and left it and then finally came back to it last night and finished. I do like the end result but it took me the longest time to pull it together. I had originally wanted to use the lattice die but after an hour or two of struggling with it I gave up on that notion.

I started with a base of PTI white cardstock and followed that with some rich razzleberry and then some Cottage Wall DS paper. I then layered more white and razzleberry and Cottage wall DS paper for the next layers. The center element is made up of white and richrazzleberry and then a white scallop circle cut with my petite scallop circle nesties and cuttlebug.

I stamped the butterflies from the Verve set, Fluttering By, on scrap PTI white with rich razzlebery ink and cit them out. they are mounted to the circle with some mono adhesive liquid glue just in the center, so I could pull the wings up just a bit. I added some silver sticky rhinestones down the center of each butterfly. I stamped the sentiment that also comes in this set with black stazon. I added three more silver rhinestones under the sentiment. Oh, and one to each corner of the layer below the sentiment!

I used some of the rich razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon at the side. I made a stylized bow and attached it to the ribbon with some scor-tape.

Well, that is all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SFYTT Thank You

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great weekend. It is really heating up here in southwest Missouri again!

Today I am sharing a card with you that I made with Jen's sketch for you to try.

I started the card with a base of my very favorite color at the moment, rich razzleberry. I then used a piece of Papertrey white card stock and used my scor-pal to score it in diagonal stripes, 1 inch apart. I then cut the piece into three even peices and mounted it to the razzleberry. I punched small circles with my 1/4 inch circle punch and glued them to the places where the score lines meet. I used my nesties to cut a razzleberry scallop circle and white circle and then cut out two little leaves with the sizzix die. I stamped the butterfly from the "Great Friend" set with razzleberry and cut it out and mounted it to the circle element. I used some silver sticky rhinestones in the middle of the butterfly. The sentiment comes from the Garden Greetings set and is stamped with razzleberry as well.

Well, that is it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Gift Set

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!!

Earlier in the week my sister had asked me to make a birthday cake for one of her friends, well, one thing lead to another and I ended up making the cake, a super yummy carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and I made a couple of candles to match a card and little gift bag I had made earlier.

We filled the bag with some chocolates and the candles are super easy to make. Just tamp onto some tissue paper and use a heat gun and some waxed paper to attach the tissue directly to the candle. If any one is interested I will try and do a tutorial on this later next week.

For the candles here I used two favorite sets, one an oldie and one new, Happy Harmony and For All You Do. I used sentiments from Small Sayings and Garden Greetings. I stamped the flowers with some rich razzleberry and Orchid opulence. The sentiments are both stamped with black stazon.

Another look:

Well that is it for today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
