Peace Love Joy

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

This is my splitcoast double challenge card. I used this week's sketch challenge for my layout and this week's Ways to Use It Challenge, to use purple, I think rich razzleberry counts as purple, don't you?

The base of my card is rich razzleberry, I followed that with a piece of brushed gold card stock. I then made my own BG or DS paper. I used the beautiful "Serene Snowflake" set. The sentiment comes from the "All Holidays" set.

I added some sticky rhinestones to the center of my snowflakes and the ribbon is some I had in my stash, it matches the gold card stock perfectly!

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

MTSC Serene Snowflakes

Happy Hump Day Peeps! The sun is finally shinning here! Been awhile since I have seen it, but more rain is on it's way so I need to enjoy it while I can! Going to get out this afternoon and run a few errands.

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. You know I love her sketches!!!

This card is using a new set from the mini, "Serene Snowflakes". Just a gorgeous set of snowflakes. I used the largest one in the set for this card. I stamped it in night of navy ink onto bashful blue card stock. I then stamped it again with versamark onto night of navy card stock and then embossed with white embossing powder. I cut out just a portion of the snowflake and used some dimensionals to attach it to the bottom snowflake. I added a MS sticky pearl to the center.

The base if the card is bashful blue followed by night of navy and then the white layer is embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The next layers are night of navy, bashful blue and the DS paper is a piece I had from a retired pack.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo Give Thanks

Good Tuesday Morning peeps! It is another cool rainy day in southwest Missouri!

Today I am sharing a Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Card.

This card is a 5 x 5 inch square. The base is chocolate chip cardstock. I followed the base with some taken with teal and the DS paper is from the Autumn Meadows pack. I did not love this paper when I first saw it in the mini, but after getting it and seeing it, and using it, I am crazy about it! I matted each layer of the DS paper with taken with teal cardstock.

The stamp I used is a single set called "Gobble, Gobble"! Isn't he the cutest turkey you ever saw? I stamped him several times in chocolate chip, really rust and more mustard inks and cut him out and layered. I cut out the turkey and the mat for him with my round and scallop round nesties.

I added some piercing, antique copper brads and chocolate chip twill ribbon for my embellishments.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

I matted the two back squares of DS paper with soft suede and real red. The stamp set I used is the "Delightful Decorations". I stamped the soft suede ornament another time onto scrap paper white and punched it out with the ornament punch. I then mounted it to the image piece with some dimensionals. I matted the main piece with real red that I had used the lace edge punch on the bottom. Some ribbon, silver cording and sticky rhinestone was used for added embellishments.

SSSC41 BOO!

Good Sunday Morning Peeps! It is time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I loved working with this sketch:

The card is made with a base of basic black and followed with some pumpkin pie and then the DS paper comes from the fun Night & Day pack. The stamp set I used is "Autumn Harvest" and the spider and sentiment comes from the retired "Autumn Apparitions" set.

I used my MS spider web punch on the side piece.

I sponged the BG of the main image piece with chocolate chip and night of navy. The jack-o-lantern is stamped onto watercolor paper and colored and then cut out and I used some dimensionals to mount him. I used another MS punch for the fence. I stamped the BOO onto watercolor paper too and used circle punches and the circle scallop punch to punch it out and mat it. I added some sticky silver rhinestones to the spider for eyes and around the sentiment scallop.

The sentiment panel is matted with taken with teal and I pierced all around the edges. The "wonderful" is stamped with taken with teal ink and the "friend" is stamped with really rust ink, as are the leaves.

MTSC Halloween Smiles & Merry Christmas

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today I am sharing the card I made for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I have to say I have been feeling like I am in a creative funk lately. Everything I make is kinda blah! I sure hope this lifts soon. Every feel like that?

I started this card with a base of pumpkin pie card stock. I first made the the card 5 x 5 inches but I ended up cut it down to a 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 inch. I thought that size fit the oval I had made a bit better.

I also used basic black cardstock and the DS paper is from a retired Halloween pack.
The set I used is "Pumpkin Patch". I stamped two of the pumpkins with really rust and the center guy is stamped with pumpkin pie that I "rolled" in really rust. The center pumpkin is stamped twice. I cut one out and mounted over the first with some dimensionals. The stems, vine swirls, and grass are all stamped with old olive. I used my coluzzle to cut out the oval and my scallop oval nesties to cut the black scallop mat.

For the sentiment I inked up just a portion of the sentiment block and stamped onto white. I used the word window punch and modern label punch. I added some orange sticky pearls to the sentiment piece.

I also added some pumpkin pie ribbon and black brads to the corners. I pierced all around the outside edge too.

I tried another time with this sketch:

This one is made with old olive, real red and the DS paper is from the Merry Moments pack. The set I used is "Season of Joy".

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

C4C7 Season's Greetings

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today's card is made for this week's challenge on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. It is a sketch challenge this week, my favorite, so you know I had to play along!

My card is started with a base of white card stock. I followed that with some bashful blue, then more white and then the DS paper. I cut the center element with my nesties, petite scallop and circle. The large snowflake is a cuttlebug die. I cut out the snow flake and then ran it through the cuttlebug again with my swiss dot embossing folder. The sentiment comes from the "To You & Yours" set. I stamped it with bashful blue and used my 1 inch punch to punch it out. I mounted it onto a small scallop circle, cut again with the petite scallop nesties. I added alot of silver bling and some bashful blue ribbon. The blue panel is mounted to the card with some dimensionals, as is the circle scallop and the sentiment circle.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC40 Ready, Set Snow!

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is that time of the week, my favorite, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!!

Here is our sketch for this week:

I was a bit freaked out when I saw it!! I went searching through my stamps to see what I had that would work with those small circles. I found my "Snow Flurries" set, it is retired, but knew when I saw it what I wanted to do.

I stamped several of the snow images onto scrap night of navy and bashful blue with versmark and then embossed with white embossing powder. I used my 3/4 inch and 1 inch circle punches for these. Then I went looking for a sentiment and found this one in the "Best Wishes and More" set. I also used the large snowflake stamp from this set for my BG.

I have to apologize for my not so crisp sentiment, I stamped and embossed it several times, I was running out of night of navy cardstock, and just couldn't get it much better than this. My daughter says it looks fine, she said it looks like it is snowing around the sentiment. So lets just go with that ok? LOL!!!!

So why not join us with this sketch, we would love to see what you come up with.
So join in on the fun and create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen's blog and link your card so all of us can see your creation!

WSC For All You Do

Good Saturday Morning Peeps! Hope your weekend has started out well. It is a cloudy cold morning here in southwest Missouri. I am staying in and staying warm, I feel a cold coming on!

Today's card is made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.

I love this size of a card, 3-1/4 x 6-1/2 inches. They fit the SU small open envelope, something fun for a bit of a change from the regular size.

I used rich razzleberry, and pale plum cardstock. The Designer paper is from the Cottage Wall pack. I used another favorite stamp set "For All You Do". I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to cut the sentiment piece. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon. I stamped the flowers and butterfly with rich razzleberry and pale plum ink and cut them out. I added some bling to the centers of the flowers and the butterfly too. The sentiment and flowers are all mounted with some dimensionals. The butterfly is glued only in the middle so I could pull the wings up a bit. I added a bit of piercing to the rich razzleberry strip.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Don't you love the "country" feel of this card? I stamped the main image with soft suede ink onto the white card stock. I used real red to add the berries. The bird is cut from the "Merry Details" sizzlit, and mounted with a dimensional. I used the circle and scallop circle nesties to cut and mat the main image. The sentiment comes from the same set and I used the word window and modern label punches.

SC250 Be Merry

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card is made with this week's.sketch challenge on splitcoast. This was a fun little sketch and a fun card to put together

The base of the card is always artichoke. I also used real red and whisper white. I used the 5 petal flower punch to make my "poinsettias" I punched two red flowers and one artichoke {for the leaves}. I sponged the edges of each with real red and always artichoke. I curled the edges a bit with my piercing tool and glued them together I mounted each to a white 1-3/8 inch square with a dimensional. I added a sparkly gold brad to the center of each.

I used the Petals a Plenty embossing folder in real red for the second layer. That layer was mounted to a white layer that I used the lace edge punch on one end. The sentiment comes from the retired "Warm Words" stamp set. It was stamped in always artichoke ink onto white and punched out with the small oval punch. I matted it with the large oval in always artichoke.

SSSC39 Hello!

Good Morning Peeps!

It's Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!

The card that I have for today using the SSSC#39 was created using the cute little stamp set "Hello Again"! The designer paper is from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack. This is a very girly card, don't you just love melon mambo? I stamped the flower in melon mambo and old olive. I used a button from the latte pack with a small piece of melon card stock through the center. The butterfly is stamped with old olive onto some scrap white and cut out and glued down just in the center, so I could fold up the wing just a bit. I added two small sticky rhinestones to the middle of the butterfly.

The crystal swirls is something I have had for awhile in my stash and was bought at a LSS. I used my oval nesties to cut out the image panel, it is mounted to the card with some dimensionals. I used my swiss dot embossing folder and the SU lace edge punch and finally a few white brads.

Here is the sketch we re working with today:

PPA11 Trick or Treat

TGIF Peeps! Hope your week has gone well.

Today's card is made for this weeks challenge on Pals Paper Arts Blog. This week it is a color challenge: Perfect Plum, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie and any neutrals you want. Well, with these colors you know I have to make a Halloween card. I wanted to do something different so I finally decide on doing a round card. I love to do these and have not done in a while. I used my cuttlebug and circle and scallop circle nesties to create the card base and mats.

The base is pumpkin pie followed by basic black and then the DS paper is from the Cast-a-Spell pack. I cut a piece of white for my sentiment with the middle section of the nestie. I then stamped my sentiment and trimmed it down. I added a mat of basic black behind it.

The candy corn and sentiment are from the "Tasty Sweet" set. The cat comes from the retired Autumn Apparitions set. The candy corn is colored in with markers and the cat is inked up with black stazon. I stamped them onto some white card stock and cut them out. I wanted the corn to pop a bit more than they where so I matted them with black and trimmed closely. I added some glitter, doodlebug sugar coating glitter, to the corn and the cat. It is very spark-ly IRL!

SC249 Happy Haunting!

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

Today's card was made with the sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

I just got this fun new stamp set, "Scary Skeleton" and wanted to use it. Isn't he cute? Not really scary at all!!

I stamped the skeleton with versamark onto basic black card stock, twice. I embossed both with white embossing powder. I cut out just the head of one and mounted it over the first with a dimensional. I then colored him in with my white gel pen. He is layered onto pumpkin pie and basic black card stock.

The DS paper used on this card comes from the Cast-a-Spell and Night & Day Packs. the sentiment is from the same set and stamped with versmark and embossed. I used the oval punches to mount it. It is added to the card with some glue and dimensionals. I added two sticky orange rhinestones and some ribbon tied to a spiral clip.

Today's card is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I just love Mercy's sketches, you should check them out, and join in the fun!

My card is made with the "Berry Christmas" stamp set from the mini and the DS paper is also from the mini. I used some real red and soft suede for matting and the base of the card is made from white cardstock. I used my crop-a-dial to make two hole at the end of the card to add my ribbon through. The ribbon is non SU. I used some dimensionals to mount the main image to the base and also to pop up the holly leaves. The card is fairly straight forward, but if you have any questions just shoot me an e-mail, and I will get back to you ASAP!

Mojo Christmas Cardinal

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! It is cool, rainy morning here in southwest Missouri! Ohhhh Fall, How I LOVE thee!!!

Today's card is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch.

I started by pulling out this awesome "A Christmas Cardinal" set. Love it! I stamped the cardinal with timber brown stazon onto some watercolor paper. I colored the image with my aqua painter. Pure madness took over after that as I decided to cut out this baby!! LOL!! I cut out a circle and scallop circle with my nesties and cuttlebug. I mounted the cardinal to these with a few dimensionals. I then made up the rest of the card, base is real red, followed by whisper white and the DS paper is from the Christmas Cocoa Speciality pack from the mini.

I stamped the sentiment, from the same set, onto some scrap white and used the modern label punch to punch it out. the image circle is mounted with dimensionals and then the sentiment was added. The ribbon is some non SU from my stash. I added three silver sticky rhinestone thingys! After the card was all together, I used added crystal effects to the berries and the cardinals eye.

C4C5 Thanks

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made for the Crazy 4 Challenges #5 Sew Happy. Let's see some Machine, hand or faux stitching somewhere on your card or creation!

I am still playing with retired colors and designer paper. This time, kiwi kiss and Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper. Kiwi is another of my faves from last year.

I used kiwi and basic black. The base is kiwi and then each layer of DS paper is mated with basic black. The stamps I used are "Friends 24-7" and "Thank You Kindly".
I stamped the image with kiwi kiss ink and then used black stazon to stamp the "Thanks".

I added some piercing and used my white gel pen to add the "stitching" around the kiwi DS paper layer.

While making this one I cut out enough of the same paper to make another.

This one was made with the same layout too. I used the "Flowers in Silhouette" single stamp and the sentiment is another one from the "Thank You Kindly" set. No faux stitching or ribbon on this one. I used my Fleur de lis edge punch and the pieces that are punched out to make the design down the edge and middle of the side strip.

Well, that is all for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC38 Grateful

Good Morning Peeps!!!!

It's Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!!!!!! This card was made with the SSSC#38.

I used the "Thoughts & Prayers" Stamp set for the tree and for the sentiment I used "Falling Leaves". The base of the card is always artichoke, followed by some whisper white and then the artichoke DS paper is from a retired hostess print patterns pack. I wanted to work some really rust into my card to co-ordinate with the tree leaves. I searched and searched for some in my stash and finally came upon this piece from a retired fall pack, not sure of the name. I inked up the tree with markers in always artichoke, really rust and a bit of summer sun. I stamped onto whisper white and matted with artichoke. I used some small buttons from the earth element buttons for some fun accents on the tree. I threaded the buttons with some crochet thread, and added them to the tree with glue dots.

The sentiment is stamped with really rust ink and punched out with the word window punch. I matted on a piece of really rust cardstock punched with the modern label punch. I added some dusty durango ribbon with the polka dots to the back across the bottom of the rust striped layer and added a bow. The main image is attached to the base with some dimensionals.

Here is the sketch:

WSC Baja Birthday Celebrations

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. This week is her 100th sketch challenge! Awesome, I love her sketches and play as often as I can. Her blog is chocked full of wonderful inspiration! Thank You Beate!

I am again playing with retired colors and papers. I so wish baja would make a comeback. I love it soooooo!!!! My card is a 5 inch square of chocolate chip. I followed that with baja and then the DS paper is the retired Parisian Breeze Speciality Paper. The center square is chocolate chip and baja. I pierced around the edge of the middle square. I used the butterfly die to cut out my two butterflies out of the DS paper. I glued the two together, and then mounted them to the center with some dimensionals. I added three sticky pearls to the center of the butterfly.

The sentiment comes from the Upsy Daisy Set and is stamped onto whisper white with chocolate chip ink and punched out with the large oval punch and then matted with chocolate chip that was punched out with the scallop oval punch. I added a small silver clip in the top corner and tied some non SU white ribbon around it. I then added a sticky pearl to each corner.

PPA10 Give Thanks

TGIF Peeps!

Today's card was made for the Theme Challenge: Gratitude and Thanks on
Pals Paper Arts Blog. the challenge was to to create with a spirit of gratitude and thanks.

My card was inspired by this beauty by Sharon Johnson. I changed it up a bit, using the same paper and layout, but different stamp sets and embellishments.

The base of my card is soft suede card stock followed by white and then the DS paper from the Autumn Traditions pack. The stamp s=is from the Holiday Best set. I inked the stamp with soft suede and then wiped off the ink on the leaves with a paper towel. I then used markers in old olive, ruby red, summer sun and more mustard to color in the leaves, stem and berries. I then huffed on the stamp, (to re-wet the ink) and stamped onto white. I used the coluzzle to cut out my oval and then used my oval nestie to cut out the scallop oval. I used some crushed curry ribbon and a couple of antique brads for embellishments. The main image is mounted with some dimensionals to the base.

A very easy, clean and simple card.

Well, that is all for today, hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Little Boo Set

Happy October 1st Peeps! Today is a big day at my house. 23 years ago today my DD was born AND 33 years ago today I married my wonderful hubby!!! Yup that's right, on the same day 10 years apart!!! Must be my lucky day huh?

Well on to my card for today, I set out to make this card using the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. Of course, I strayed a bit, or maybe alot! LOL! I looked at the sketch before I started and drew it out on my scratch paper, but I missed that the back panel was directly in the middle of the card, I put mine to the side and I used circles instead of two squares, so I guess you might say, I was just "inspired" by the sketch! LOL!

The card base is perfect plum card stock. I followed that with pumpkin pie, I used the scallop edge punch on one side. Followed by More perfect plum and then the DS paper is from the Cast-A-Spell pack. I added some black grosgrain ribbon around this panel. I tied a "bow knot" around the ribbon. I used the "Happy Halloween" sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes set. Stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink onto white with Pumpkin Pie and punched out with the word window punch. I also punched out another in basic black. I used a needle and some black embroidery floss to attach the sentiments to the ribbon.

I stamped two of the "Little Boo" ghost with black pigment ink and used clear embossing powder to emboss. I used the 1-1/4 inch punch to punch out the little ghost and my 1-3/8 inch punch in basic black to mat. First I colored in the pumpkin, he is holding, with my prismcolor pencil.

I punched out three 1-3/8 inch circles in pumpkin pie. The are put down first and then the two "Little Boo's" are attached over the bottom circles {centered between the three} with dimensionals. I then added three black sticky pearls.

I had this little black box already made so I decided to decorate it to match my card. I used perfect plum and the DS paper on the front. I added pumpkin pie circles and the "Little Boo", made the same way as the card. I added a black brad in the corners. The same sentiment is added to the bottom of the box. I attached the handle with brads as well. Just needs a bit of filler and alot of candy and it is ready for some lucky little "Boo"!!!!!

Well, that is all for today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!
