Mojo Monday......Celebrate

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!!

Today's card is made with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

This week it was either a round or square card for the sketch:

You can see, that I chose the round, I love making round cards, such fun!! The base of my card is night of navy card stock cut with my scallop nesties. I then used some white and real red for the next layer. The white was embossed with the Swiss Dot EF.

I made a cute little pinwheel with my small star punch and added a white handle. I added this to my white circle element with some foam tape. I matted with another scallop circle cut with real red card stock. The square element is night of navy that I embossed with my star EF.

The sentiment is from the "A Little Birthday Cheer" stamp set. I just masked of the "You", with a post it note, as I only wanted the "Celebrate" and stamped it with night of navy ink onto white and cut out and curled a bit. My sentiment is in place of the star element in the sketch! So whatcha think?

Well, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

TESC......Celebrate Freedom

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with the sketch challenge on Taylored Expressions Blog.

This fun little Americana card is made with the kit I purchased from the Taylored Expressions Store. The base is a 5 inch square of blue and I followed that with the pretty red from the kit and then the DS paper is also from the kit. I stamped the fireworks with SU riding hood red ink and then applied some glue and glitter. The sentiment is stamped with night of navy ink.

I added a star to my sentiment panel, punched with the large star punch with blue and then using the small star punch I added a cream one over the blue with some foam tape. I then topped both stars off with a pretty blue star rhinestone that is also from the kit.

The bottom element is the blue punched with the scallop edge punch and then I added the cream Ric-rack. The small sticky stars was purchased locally.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by and check back tomorrow for another fun patriotic card!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Curtain Call Color Challenge......USA

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with the color challenge on
Stacey's Stamping Stage Act 36.. Also this kicks off a week of patriotic themed cards on the ol' blog-o.

Now if you click over to Stacey's blog you will see that her sample card for this weeks color challenge is very similar to mine, pure coincidence!!! Her sample was not even posted when I looked at the color challenge yesterday morning, I swear!!! All I can say is great minds think alike.

I started my card with a base of whisper white and then followed that with some kraft that was embossed with a star EF. I have to admit that my center element was already made. I had made it up a couple of weeks ago, when I found the fun little sticky stars at Michael's, and it was just laying on my desk waiting for the opportunity to be used. When I saw the color challenge, kraft, whisper white, real red, and night of navy, I knew my flag would finally be used.

I mounted the flag to the base with some foam tape and then added the "pole". I made it out of some chocolate chip card stock and shaded it a bit with black ink and my aqua painter.

I added two strips of navy grosgrain ribbon before adding the flag and the "USA" is cut with my naturally serif alphabet die in red white and blue.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC75......Enjoy the journey!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!!! My favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was at first glance a bit intimidated by this sketch, but after giving it some thought I decided on a plan of attack and set out to see if what I had in mind would work.

I knew I wanted to try and make a sun, I had seen this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now, I used a circle nestie to start, I cut it with so saffron card stock. I then used some crushed curry, cut into 3/8 inch squares to make the rays. I glued them on with my quickie glue pen at an angle, matching point to point around the circle. I then took another circle and glued it to the back to help hold the rays in place.

I used the awesome little single stamp from the summer mini, "Motorcycle". I stamped it with black stazon and did just a bit of coloring with my so saffron marker. The sentiment comes from another set from the summer mini, "Pedaling Past". I stamped it with black stazon onto a piece of crushed curry and cut out and mounted to the sun with some dimensionals.

The base of the card is a 5 inch square of basic gray. I then used some going gray and then more basic gray that was embossed with the new square lattice EF. The sun is then added to the embossed piece with some dimensionals.

I then began to think about the circle elements of the sketch. What would go with the manly type card I was making? I thunked and thunked and then I realized the answer, the extra-large cog punch, which I didn't have. I really hadn't given it a second glance, but I knew my friend Lois had it, and she was such a sweetie to let me use it! She is sooo generous.

I punched a bunch of cogs with the punch in gong gray. and then began to play with them a bit. I ended up using the large ones across the bottom with the center circles set slightly of center with some fun little screw brads that I had in my stash. I then added two little cogs with screw brad centers to the top corners. I think it turned out kinda cool...huh?

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Pals Paper Arts.......Dear Friend

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!

Today I have a fun little card to share with you. This week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts is a sketch challenge, my favorite kind!

I immediately reached for the awesome set from the summer mini, Tropical Party and the matching DS paper, Island Oasis. I LOVE the colors in this paper pack. I used rose red for my base and then some whisper white and the Swiss dot EF. I cut three separate strips of the DS paper and lined the up side by side on the right.

The sentiment panel is created with the sentiment from "All Holidays" stamped in rose red on whisper white. I matted with rose red. I stamped the large flower from the Tropical Party set with pumpkin pie, tempting turquoise and rose red onto white and cut out. I added brads to the center of each flower with the same ink colors, just switching them around. I stamped the leaf three times with old olive and cut out them as well. I first added the three flowers around the sentiment piece and then stuck the leaves in behind. I then mounted this piece to the base with some foam tape.

Well, that is all from me today, be sure and come by tomorrow for my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Sample!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Americana Bluebirds

Good afternoon Peeps!

I almost never post twice in one day, but I was super excited about this card and couldn't Wait to share it with you. Yesterday afternoon while at a local big box store I was browsing the magazines, while waiting on my sis to get her hair cut, and I was looking at a quick and easy painting magazine. I use to paint alot, it was my craft of choice until paper crafting caught my attention. Anyway, in the magazine was a really cute tray or stool or something that had a design similar to this one painted on. I loved it immediately, it is Americana after all, and I thought I could probably do that on a card.

So this morning I decided to give it a try and after much trial and error, I came up with this, a bit different from the painted one but close.

I used brocade blue for the base of the card. I made the flag backgrounds with real red and whisper white, I sponged the edges with creamy caramel and bravo burgundy. The heart was hand cut and embossed with the Swiss Dot EF. The "USA" is cut out of white with the naturally serif die.

I made the cute little bluebirds with punches, 1-3/8 circle for the bodies, I used the photo corner for the tail feathers and beak, the eyes are 1/4 inch circle and the wings are from the two step bird punch. I made the little legs with just narrow strips of black. I added a large star that was embossed and dotted with my white gel pen. Cute huh?

Leave a comment on the post and let me know what you think.

Thanks again for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Because I Care

TGIF Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made using this weeks sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

I wanted to use some of the new pre-view items from the up coming catalog. I choose to use the hostess level 1 stamp set, "Because I Care". I colored the hydrangea with my copic markers. I am still learning those! After I colored the flower I realized the color matched the new in-color Concord Crush, and so my card began. My base is Concord and I followed that with some whisper white that was embossed with my Swiss Dot EF. The next panel is concord crush that I punched with my scallop lace edge punch. I added small white brads to the corners of this panel as well. The next layer is concord and white swiss dot emboss card stock.

The flower was matted with more concord crush and then I punch one edge with the same edge punch and added a line of mini sticky pearls to the side. I then stamped the sentiment from this set and punched it out with the large oval punch and matted it with the scallop oval punch. The flower layer and sentiment piece are both mounted with dimensionals.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

MTSC79......Friends

Good Thursday Morning Peeps! Had a good stamping day yesterday!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I wanted to try my hand at the vintage/shabby look that is popular right now. Not sure how well I did, altho it does look a bit old so I think that is what I was going for.

The awesome flower (hydrangea) is from a upcoming new hostess set, Because I Care. I stamped the flower onto some watercolor paper with black stazon and water colored. I used some certainly celery ink and some pretty in pink ink. the leaves are celery and a bit of always artichoke. I then went all around the image with a wash of creamy caramel.

The base of the card is a new color, Early Espresso. so loving this color, very rich! I also matted the main image with the early espresso. I used some DS paper from the Autumn Meadows paper pack. I matted the designer series paper with very vanilla card stock. I used some very vanilla satin ribbon and three chocolate flower brads. I added a small circle of vanilla to the center of the brads and then sponged them with some chocolate chip. The little sentiment comes from the Tiny Tags set and is punched out with the tag punch.

After I had the card done I realized that my BG layer should have been a bit smaller all around to fit the sketch, but I was already done so I wasn't going to take it apart.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Mojo144....{thank you}

Happy Hump Day Peeps!! Sorry about missing a few days in a row here on the ol' blog, it has been so HOT here and with running errands and cleaning I have been tooo Hot and tired to stamp, I plan on staying in today and staying cool and stamping!!!!

Today's card share is one I made for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I used some new paper from the upcoming catalog, Greenhouse Garden. I paired it up with a returning favorite, Fifth Ave. Floral. I stamped the rose twice onto some paper from the now retired SAB Welcome Neighbor 6x6 paper pack. I cut it out and and layered it up. I then when back in with my aqua painter and some crushed curry ink to add a bit of shading.

The base of the card is chocolate chip and I followed that with some real red and then the DS paper. The next layer is a bit of one of the new colors, daffodil delight, love this color, and more of the DS paper. The central piece is made up of real red and chocolate chip, (I used a swirl embossing folder on the chocolate square) and real red and whisper white. The Rose is mounted with some dimensionals. The sentiment comes from the All Holidays stamp set and is stamped with black stazon onto the daffodil and cut out with the curly label punch I then punched another curly label in red and matted it a bit. I added three red brads and some 1/4 inch real red grosgrain.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call.....On Your Birthday

Good Monday Morning Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend and an even greater Father's Day! Ours was fairly quite, we grilled and played the wii! It is tooooo HOT out for me!!! BLAH!!!!

I did have some time to play a bit yesterday and got a couple of cards done. This one is one I made with the color challenge at Stacey's Stamping Stage-Act 35.

When I saw the color challenge, garden green, green galore, whisper white, tempting turquoise, and cameo coral. All great colors, but..........together? I always struggle when trying to combine more than two colors and colors I don't generally work with. I knew I had to keep it clean and simple.

I toyed with a few ideas for my center panel and finally landed on the one you see now. I used the SU sizzix embosslits beautiful wings, to make the butterflies. I made one each in the challenge colors with the exception of the white. I mounted them onto the white panel with some mono liquid glue, just down the center, so I could pull up the wings. I added some silver sticky pearls to the center of each. I matted the white panel with a piece of cameo coral.

The base of the card is white and the next layer is another piece of white that I stamped the sentiment, from the "On your Birthday" set with black stazon. I then embossed that piece with my swiss dot EF. I added a smaller little butterfly by the sentiment.

The main image panel is mounted on the embossed panel with foam tape and then the embossed piece is also mounted to the base with some foam tape.

So there you have it clean and simple and super easy! Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC74......Let's Celebrate!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!!! My favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week, based on my card, see it HERE!

So onto today's card, I have to admit that I was slow to get on board with this fun set from the summer mini, "Tropical Party". Also the DS paper "Island Oasis", can't say why I waited soooo long to get them, but both are awesome!!! Sorry about my picture quality, I am having lighting issues!!! LOL!!

I started the card with a base of rose red, and then followed that with some old olive that was embosses with the Square Lattice EF.

I used two colors of designs from the paper pack, and matted each with more rose red card stock. I then went to work on my main image panel. I stamped the coconut drink onto whisper white with chocolate chip ink and I also stamped the tree with chocolate chip ink. I then stamped the tree again onto scrap white with old olive, and cut out just the top and mounted it over the other with some foam tape. I then stamped the coconut drink onto some little bits of the DS paper and cut out the umbrella and straw and glued them directly over the stamped image on the base.

I stamped the leaves twice and cut out and stamped the large flower with rose red and cut it out. I added a turquoise brad to the flower center and mounted it to the base with more foam tape. I then took the leaves and slid them in under the flower to cover the base of the tree and coconut drink bottom.

The sentiment comes from the "On your birthday" stamp set and was stamped with black stazon. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get it straight. I then matted this piece with more rose red and mounted it to the base with foam tape.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Mojo.......hey there!

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

My card share today is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch. And speaking of the mojo sketch challenge, check out the winners and finalist from last week here. My card was a finalist!!! How cool is that?

I found this weeks sketch a bit intimidating.......those three little rectangles on the top corner presented a bit of a quandary. So I just did all the rest of the card and then tried to figure out those pieces. I ended up using my word window punch along with some of the Cottage Wall DS paper and some brads. I kinda like the effect.

The stamp set I used for the main image panel is the "Elements of Style" set from the current mini. I stamped it with old olive ink onto whisper white card stock. I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to cut and mat with. I added a couple of butterflies from the Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings die.

I added some more silver brads to the butterfly center and mounted it with some foam tape. I added another small butterfly over the rectangle corner pieces and the ribbon is rich razzleberry turned to the solid side. The little sentiment comes from the retired "Really Retro" set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

MTSC78...Too Kind

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today's card share is made with the sketch on Mercy's Blog.

I always love Mercy's sketches and this one is another great one. I have been seeing these "lollipop flowers" around and i wanted to give them a try. This sketch worked out great for them.

I used some retired paper for my flowers, from the Sweet Pea Paper pack. I used my circle punches, 1-3/8, 1-1/4, 1 inch and 3/4 inch. I added some buttons from the sherbet collection. Made my stems and leaves from old olive card stock and I used my Swiss dot EF on the card stock before cutting the stems and leaves. I mounted the lollipop flowers to the base, which is whisper white that was also embossed with the Swiss dot EF. I also made some faux grass with the left over embossed old olive. I mounted the white onto some pretty in pink card stock.

The base of the card is whisper white followed by pretty in pink and the DS paper is from the Sweet Pea pack as well.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Curtain Call.......Birthday Wishes

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with the color challenge at Stacey's Stamping Stage The colors this week are rich razzleberry, Sahara sand, whisper white, basic gray and dusty durango.

I wasn't sure of how this card was going to come together when I first started, but I do like the end results. I started out by choosing my stamp set, Watercolor Trio. I inked up the flower stamp with rich razzleberry, dusty durango and I used a bit of old olive for the leaves. I stamped each color a few times without re-inking to get the various shades.

The only place you will find the basic gray on my card is on the sentiment. I stamped the "Birthday Wishes with my basic gray classic ink pad. I matted the main image with rich razzleberry and Sahara sand card stock. I then set this piece aside to work on the BG.

The base of my card is Sahara Sand card stock. I then added a layer of rich razzleberry and then a layer of whisper white with the new lattice embossing folder.
The bottom strip is made up of Sahara sand rich razzleberry and a piece of razzleberry DS paper from the Razzleberry lemonade paper pack. I did use a MS edge punch on the razzleberry layer and added a bunch of silver sticky back pearls.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!!! My favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was sooooo inspired by this card by Karen, that I ordered three patriotic stamps and paper kit from Taylored Expressions. This is actually the first card I made when the kit arrived at my doorstep on Monday. You can see another one I made with this set here.

Everything on this card came in my kit except the EF I used on the red BG piece. The stamps, the paper the ribbon, the ric rac and the DS paper all coordinate so well oh and the pretty star gemstones, so cool!!!

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

JAI21.....Sending Sunshine

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!

Here is a quick and easy card I made with this week's sketch challenge on the Just Add Ink Blog.

You know when I saw the sketch that partial scallop circle image made me think of a sunflower. My card base is a 5 inch square and the next layer is so saffron and the DS paper is from a retired pack.

I used my scallop circle nesties for the flower, in so saffron and sponged with chocolate chip. The center is also a nestie and I used the Swiss Dot EF on it and then sponged the edges of it with chocolate chip too. I mounted the sunflower to the base with dimensionals. I added some so saffron grosgrain ribbon and bow. The sentiment is computer generated and printed on white card stock I curled it a bit and used my photo corner punch to make the flag end.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

PPA......Color Challenge Purse

TGIF Peeps!!!

Today I have a fun little purse to share with you. I found the tutorial for this little cutie here. I used the color challenge on the Pals Paper Arts blog for the colors of my purse. The challenge colors are Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and Crushed Curry. I used the Thoroughly Modern DS paper for the body of my purse. The little front pocket is DS paper from the same pack and I added a bit of scallop trim with my Scallop Edge Punch. The crushed curry come into the purse in the form of my little flower key chain. I also used some old olive. the flower and the leaves are made with the 5 petal flower punch. I added some brads to the handles to secure them a bit more and a brad to the flower center.

I have to admit I am NOT a 3-D person. I struggle a bit with these type of things and it did take three tries for me to get a presentable one. One thing I might suggest if you go to make one of these, I found it easier to attach the top of the purse to the base of the purse before adhering the bottom together. I just thought it was too hard to get the top into the bottom when it was taped together.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Favorite Summer Flower

Happy Thursday Morning Peeps!!! Hope your week is going well.

Today's card was made for 2 separate challenges, first up is the Summer time inspiration challenge on the OCC blog. They said "This week we want you to make a card inspired by what summer means to you." I am sooooo NOT a summer person, summer mostly means long HOT days, and I don't do HOT. But if I had to pick something one of my favorite thing about summer would be flowers and in particular, sunflowers or black-eye Susan's, I do LOVE them, they just make me smile! So I wanted to do something for my card that represented these type of flowers.

I used the sketch on the Clean & Simple Blog, Fall to Layout #93.

The flowers are made with the Sizzix Daises #2 die. I used the smallest flower and cut them out with summer sun card stock. I cut two for each flower and layered them up and added a chocolate chip center. I used the Sizzix Little Leaves in always artichoke for the leaves behind the flowers. They are all layered onto a piece of white that i scored on the diagonal to sorta imitate a trellis.

The sentiment comes from the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" stamp set and is stamped with always artichoke ink. I also added two artichoke brads. Of course the base is white and the main panel is matted with always artichoke.

Well, that is all from me for today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC77....hello baby

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I totally used my own card seen here, as inspiration for this one. I just love that little boat and wanted to make another card using it, I need to make one in a girly color next, I think.

The base is kraft aka crumb cake and the DS paper is from the retired "Sweet Slumber" paper pack, a favorite of mine! I made the boat with a 1-1/4 inch punch and the the sails are a 1 inch square, cut at an angle. I used my slit punch to make the waves and the cloud paper is from the retired Welcome neighbor 6 x6 pack.

I added some piercing and whisper white taffeta ribbon. The sentiment is from the Teeny tiny wishes set.

The inside:

Well that is all from me, thanks for coming by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo....Happy July 4th

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!

I have some new non SU stamps I am playing with and I have too tell you I am totally loving them. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, I LOVE making patriotic cards. Last week I saw this beauty made my Karen and it totally sent me over the edge. I ordered a kit from Taylored Expressions that included stamps, paper, DS paper, ribbon glitter, and rhinestones. Awesome kit!!!!

My card today is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch. The base of the card is the blue from the kit. the next layer is the red from the kit and I used the SU large flower punch to make the scallops across the bottom. I punched a couple of flowers out with the cream from the kit and cut them apart to make the scallops. The next layer is a piece of the DS paper. I stamped the image twice with backaroo blue and real red ink. I matted the image with red and added the ribbon on the side. The sentiment is over stamped with black stazon. I cut out the two stars in red and added them over the blue with some dimensionals. I then used the SU large and small star punch in red and cream. I added a blue star rhinestone that comes with the kit. I added the red rhinestones, from my stash, across the bottom.

I really like this kit and I think you will probably see a few more of these type cards. :)

Well, that is all from me, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call...Thanks for all you do.

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with this weeks Curtain Call Color Challenge.

I haven't gotten to play in Stacey's color challenge for a couple of weeks and was sooo glad I found a bit of time yesterday to play. This weeks colors are, Bashful Blue, whisper white, night of navy and certainly celery. Great combo right?

I started the card with a base of whisper white and then I followed that with night of navy and then more white that was embossed with the Swiss dot EF.

My main image is from the Awash with Flowers set. I stamped with bashful blue and then used black stazon for the outline stamps of the stem and flower. I colored the stem and leaves in with my aqua painter and certainly celery ink. The sentiment comes from the Absolutely Fabulous, retired, stamp set. I added a bit of bashful blue DS paper and the ribbon is 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. I pierced all around the top and sides of the image panel. It is matted with night of navy card stock and added to the base with foam tape.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC72....Celebrate!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!!! My favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I made this card on Monday, so I had Memorial Day on the brain and I pulled out this old, old SU set, Thankful Thoughts, I believe is the name, there is not a name on the box but I am fairly sure that is the name. It is a set I bought off of e-bay a few years back. I just love it and can't seem to part with it!

I did know that I didn't want to use the traditional Americana colors on this one so I finally decided on pretty in pink and basic black.

My card base is basic black and I followed that with a layer of pretty in pink. The next layer is a piece of dotted acetate that comes from the retired Night and Day DS paper, I had never used this particular piece from the pack, I really didn't know what to use it for, but I think it looks great on a colored piece of card stock.

The main image is stamped with black stazon onto the pretty in pink card stock and is matted with basic black. I pierced all around the edge. The side piece is again pretty in pink and basic black, I used the swiss dot embossing folder on the pretty in pink card stock. I added some basic black satin ribbon and bow. The square brads where some I purchased a long time back, I thought I had picked up round ones but when I got them home and opened them up I see they are square. The are kinda of a nice contrast against all the dots here.

My sentiment comes from the "On your Birthday" set and I masked off the 'let's" and just inked up the "celebrate" and used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp it out three times.

I am working on a set of these cards with the same colors and stamp set, so Look for those in the next few days.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

MTSC76.....Celebrate You

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

I started my card with a base of white and I followed that with a layer of chocolate chip card stock that was embossed with this fun circle EF, I don't know the name. I thought it was cute with the DS paper, which comes from the retired Sweet Pea DS pack. I also used some Sweet Pea felt flowers, oh how I hate to use them since they to are gone, but I am hoping we get something like them in the new catalog.

The sentiment comes from the retiring set, A Little Birthday Cheer. The mats are made up of old olive and rose red. This was a really quick and easy card, very little stamping and turned out cute, well, I think so anyway!!

OCC....Here for You

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with this weeks challenge on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This weeks challenge is color/texture challenge. The challenge is to make a black and white card with lots of texture. And as a bonus, use text as your focal image rather than a coloured image.

You know, I have had my Spellbinders Shapeabilities Pendants, Fleur De Lis, for a long time and I hadn't even taken them from the package! This challenge was the perfect opportunity to break them out.

The base of my card is basic black card stock. I then followed that up with some white that I ran through my cuttlebug with my Swiss dot embossing folder. I then cut out the fluer de lis layers, with black and white card stock. I layered and added some dimensionals to the canter piece. I then cut two scallop circles with the petite scallop nesties. The sentiment comes form the "Friends 24-7" stamp set. I stamped it with black stazon. I then added some of the beautiful SU black satin ribbon! Love that satin ribbon.

PPA44......Thanks so much

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made yesterday, with the sketch on the Pals Paper Arts Blog.

I just got this great stamp set from the mini, "Watercolor Trio". This is a fun set. I stamped the leaves and flowers with real red and night of navy, stamping a few times with out re-inking. the sentiment, from the same set was stamped with night of navy ink too.

The base of the card is night of navy and then I followed that with whisper white and the DS paper is from a retired hostess print pack.

I used the pinking heart border punch across the bottom piece and then layered more night of navy card stock. The ribbon is some I have had for ever in my stash. I added four white mini brads to the corners. I can't believe I didn't use any dimensionals on this one.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
