OCC Tag.....Merry, Merry

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made for the Tag your It challenge on Our Creative Corner Blog. The Challenge was to make a tag or simply include a tag. I chose to include a tag on my card. I used the Stampin Up "Greeting Card Kids" stamp set. I stamped the Christmas girl onto very vanilla card stock and colored her with my aqua painter and ink from my stamp pads.

The base of this card is riding hood red card stock and I followed that with some basic black card stock. The DS paper on this card is from the Love Letters and Newsprint paper packs from Stampin Up. The tag is cut with the Tags Two Way die with very vanilla card stock. I added a layer of riding hood red card stock that I embossed with the vintage wall paper embossing folder. I added some always artichoke seam binding ribbon along with some Chantilly crochet trim along with an antique brad.

I added some more of the always artichoke seam binding ribbon and bow. The sentiment tags are from the Tiny Tags stamp set and are punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch. I finished with three mini black brads.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

A Concord Crush Christmas

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed your Thanksgiving.

I am back from my blog break with a Christmas card, made with a few challenges in mind. I started out to make a card for this week's LateNightStampers Challenge. Challenge 98 - Non Traditional Colored Christmas—no red or green. I had in mind to use some shade of purple and the new set I just got the Stampin' Up "Welcome Christmas". While surfing around I noticed Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge was for Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray and Concord Crush! Perfect! I changed it just a bit and used some Brushed Silver instead of the gray, but still very close, and since she allows similar colors I went for it.

The base of my card is Concord Crush and I followed that with the Brushed silver and the DS paper is from the Lap of Luxury paper pack. I stamped the main image with Concord Crush ink onto whisper white card stock. The sentiment comes from the "A Cardinal Christmas" stamp set and is also stamped with concord crush ink. I matted this piece with brushed silver. I added some concord crush ribbon and a strip of crumb cake punched with the dotted scallop ribbon edge punch behind the ribbon. The main image piece is cut like a tag and I added a concord crush bow and and antique brad to the end. The image is added to the card with some foam tape on an angle. I added my basic black with three mini brads across the bottom. I added a tiny little silver star to the main image and it is popped up with a tiny bit of foam tape.

Well, that is all from me, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

GRATEFUL and a small Blog Break

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with the sketch challenge this week on the
Paper Players Blog. I wanted to make a Thanksgiving/Fall card for today's post and when I saw this sketch I knew I could make some pumpkins for the circles on the sketch.

I started the card with a base of Very Vanilla and followed that with some so saffron card stock and the DSP I used on the card is from the Autumn Spice paper pack from the Occasions Mini. Love that paper!! My pumpkins are made with pumpkin pie card stock and the large one is made with the wide oval punch and the small one is made with the 1 inch punch. I embossed all my punched pieces with the vintage wall embossing folder and sponged the edges heavily with Cajun craze ink. I used the Sizzix sizzlet Scribbles Swirls with old olive card stock to make the vines and little leaves. I hand cut the stem and sponged these pieces with old olive ink. I added some very vanilla satin ribbon all scrunched up and a few antique brads. The sentiment comes from the "Falling Leaves" stamp set.

I am taking a small blogging break for the rest of this week. It is a busy week here at my house and I also need a little rest to give my mojo some time to surface again. I am grateful to all my blog readers who stop by and look and for those who leave a comment or two and to those who e-mail me with questions or just to say they enjoy my creations!! It makes me happy to create and it makes me even happier to know someone out there is enjoying my creations! Thank you all and I will be back next Monday, maybe before with more fun stuff!!!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Next up is a layer of Cherry cobbler card stock that I embossed with the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder. The DS paper i used is from the Holly Jolly Paper Pack. The stamp I used is the single Stampin' Up "Dasher Stamp" I stamped him onto very vanilla card stock with Soft Suede Ink. The sentiment is from the "Contempo Christmas" set and is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink. I used some of the yummy very vanilla satin ribbon and finished it off with a few gold brads and some gold pearls in Dashers antlers.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Got Merry?

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing my second sample for the LateNightStampers challenge 96, So Sweet.

I whipped up this sweet little Treat Purse using cherry cobbler card stock. I used some Holly Jolly DS paper on the front and back of the purse. I added a small handle made with card stock as well, I attached that with gold brads. I made a sweet little tag for the front using the "Got Treats" stamp set. I stamped the gingerbread guy onto very vanilla card stock with Soft Suede ink. I used my retired tag corner punch on the edges and matted with old olive card stock. I used my crop-a dial to punch out three circles for the buttons on the front of the gingerbread guy, an idea I saw in the catalog. I made the "buttons with cherry cobbler, old olive and very vanilla card stock. I added a small half circle to the top of the tag and finished it off with some old olive grosgrain ribbon at the top of the tag. I attached the tag with some foam tape to the purse. I tied a bow around the handle with more old olive ribbon. Super simple and easy to make.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

MTSC....A Merry Christmas

Good Friday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday sketch Challenge.

Another vintage type card made with the Stampin Up set "Bells & Boughs". I stamped my main image, the holly leaves onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set onto the card stock with cherry cobbler ink. I colored in the holly leaves with always artichoke ink and the berries with cherry cobbler ink using my aqua painter. I splattered the image with some watered down always artichoke ink. I added some crumb cake ink around the outside of the image. I matted the image with crumb cake card stock. The oval and the scallop oval was cut with my nesties. The DSP I used is from the Deck the Halls paper pack. The base of the card is made with Crumb Cake card stock and the DS paper is matted with very vanilla card stock. I added some always artichoke punched edge along one of the layers. I also used some always artichoke seam binding to tie a pretty bow. I added a few little pearls in the top left corner and finished the card of by adding some crystal effects to the holly berries, to make them pop and shine! Love the look of that!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo Very Merry Set

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! Hope your week is going well so far!!

Today I have a fun little set to show you. My card and tag was both made with the "Holiday Hoopla" stamp set. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge for my card.

I started my card with a base of real red and then followed that with some Baja Breeze. The DS paper used is from the Candy Cane Speciality Paper Pack. This sketch has a fun tilted panel in the middle, I do LOVE tilted panels!!!! I used the Curly Label pinch in Baja behind Santa. I used some real red grosgrain ribbon across the bottom and added a punched snowflake under the knot of the bow. The Santa is stamped onto whisper white card stock and I used a bit of blush blossom ink from my marker and my aqua painter color in the tiny bit of his face that is showing. I used a very little bit of real red to add some cheeks and a little down the edge of his nose. I stamped his hat with real red ink and then added some XMas red stickles to it. I also used a little bit of stardust stickles on his moustache. I added just a bit of shadow with my tombow N95 marker. the sentiment is from the "Short & Sweet" stamp set and is stamped with black stazon.

Then I wanted to make a matching tag:

The tag is cut from the Two Tags Die, which I don't have but I did cut a few awhile back when I was with someone who had it, with whisper white card stock. I then added another layer of white that was embossed with a snowflake EF. I then added two small strips of DS paper that was punched with the dotted scallop ribbon border punch. I then added another Santa, made like the one on the card, on this Santa I added the "To/From stamp onto his beard, that stamp is in the set. I added some bakers twine to the tag.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Season of Sweetness Cupcake

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great weekend, I know I did! It is turning cooler here and it feels like Winter is just around the corner.

Today I am sharing a Cupcake card I made for the this week's Challenge. Challenge #96, So Sweet. Make a card with something sweet on it.

How about the card is something sweet? I used a template I found online HERE. I could not get the template to print correctly but did get enough of it to come out to be able to get the basic idea. I used some very vanilla card stock for my base. I didn't originally plan on doing a Christmas Cupcake but when I was looking through my DSP to find some to use I came across the Jolly Holiday pack and I haven't used much of it yet so I thought I would give it a try.

I got the basic outline of the cupcake from the template and then I just drew in the dividing line between the bottom and the icing. I used my crimper and some of the DS paper for the bottom. I then used another piece of the DS paper for the top. I cut it out and added it to the card base with some foam tape. I sponged the edges of the top with cherry cobbler and the base with old olive ink.

I made the Holly Leaves with my large oval punch. I punched out three ovals with old olive card stock and then use my slit punch to punch out the edges and bring the end to a point. I sponged the edges with old olive ink and used my stylus to add the lines in the leaves. I used three glimmer brads for the holly berries. I snipped off the back of the brads and added them to the leaves with glue from my glue gun. I then added the holly and berries to my card with some foam tape. The sentiment on the card some from the Merry Crittermas stamp set and I stamped it with cherry cobbler ink ont very vanilla card stock and cut and curled it into a flag. I then tied a very vanilla satin ribbon around the base and made the bow.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC93.......Christmas Greetings

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

Well, I am doing it again, I love the vintage, can't get enough!!! I am a bit late jumping on the band wagon here, as usual, but it is fun!

I started this card with a base of soft suede card stock and then I followed that up with some crumb cake and then the DS paper is from the Deck the Halls paper pack. The main image is from the A Cardinal Christmas set is stamped with black stazon onto very vanilla card stock and colored with cherry cobbler, always artichoke and more mustard and my aqua painter. I added some crumb cake around the outside of the image and sponged it around the edges. I distressed the edges with the edge of my scissors and tore and folded them a bit. I matted it with Cherry cobbler card stock that I distressed as well. The sentiment is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set. I stamped with Early Espresso ink onto very vanilla card stock. I used my decorative label punch to punch it out. I matted this with cherry cobbler by punching two decorative labels and cutting them in half. I finished it with some of the Cherry Cobbler seam binding with a bow and an antique brad.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

MTSC......Merry Christmas

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I love this sketch, I did change it a bit and put my bottom piece, the piece with my sentiment, across the top of the main image panel instead of behind like the sketch, I did see a few others did this too so I think it is OK.

I started the card with a base or soft suede card stock and then I used some DS paper from the Deck the Halls paper pack. I then used some cherry cobbler card stock that I embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder. I used the Greeting Card Kids stamp set, I do have to say this is one of my favorite sets this year, I have used it more than any other I have bought, I think.

I stamped the image onto very vanilla card stock with black stazon ink. I colored the image in with my aqua painter and soft suede, cherry cobbler, more mustard, and always artichoke ink from my ink pads. I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to cut out the image and I pierced the scallop circle. The sentiment is from the Four the Holidays stamp set and is stamped with Cherry cobbler ink on the very vanilla card stock. I curled the piece by rolling it around a pen and hand cut the end. the button is from the Deck the Halls designer button pack and I tied some natural twine through the button and made a bow. I glued the button on with my glue gun.

I added two small snowflakes that I had in my stash of stuff, not sure where they came from, they are white but I think they look OK don't you? Loving the look of this baby!!!

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

I punched three ovals with pumpkin pie card stock and sponged it with Cajun Craze ink. I glued the two back ovals together and added the top oval with some foam tape. I then added a stem and a couple of swirls from the Sizzix Scribbles Swirls to the top of the pumpkin. I tied a small bow with some twine and added that to the pumpkin also.

The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set and I stamped with Cajun craze ink and hand cut the little flag. I added a few brads to finish it off.

Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkin Box

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! Hope you all had a great weekend, it was beautiful here in southwest MO.

Today I am sharing a fun little Pumpkin Box that I made for this week's Late Night Stampers Challenge. This week the challenge is "Thanksgiving or Thank you create a project for Thanksgiving or you can make a thank you card. Your choice." I batted around a couple of ideas before landing on this. I used my coluzzle to cut out the ovals. I cut out 6 ovals with pumpkin pie card stock and then sponged the edges with Cajun Craze ink. I had originally thought I would emboss the ovals with the dotted folder but when I was looking for it, I saw the vintage wall and thought it would be so pretty, and it is!!! LOL!!!

I layered the back to ovals together and glued and then added the top oval with some foam tape to give it some dimension. I hand cut the stem using a bit of DS paper from the Autumn Spice pack. I had to cut four and glue two together, because I didn't like the look of the back side of the paper showing. The leaf is a punch I picked up recently It is a marvy embossing punch, altho the embossing is very apparent on this paper. I added the leaf to the pumpkin with more foam tape. The button is from the Deck the Halls button pack and I threaded some twine through the button holes and tied a bow and then added the button to the leaf with my glue gun. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and is stamped with Early Espresso ink onto very vanilla and I hand cut out the end and glued the "flag" on, sliding it under the leaf. I added a stem and leaf to the back of the box but not the button or sentiment.

The box is made with a piece of pumpkin pie card stock 5 inches by 6-1/2 inches. I scored it at 1 inch on both long sides and then score at 2-1/2 inches and 4 inches on the short side.

I think I will make a few more of these to use on my Thanksgiving table. I will add a bag of goodies to the box. This is a fun little box to make, so give it a try!!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC92.......The Nicest Things

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started my card with a base of Concord Crush card stock. I used the SU Scallop Square clear die for the next layer using pretty in pink. The DS paper I used is from the Lap of Luxury paper pack. I stamped the girls from the "The Nicest Thing" stamp set onto watercolor paper with black stazon. I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads.

I just received these fabulous prima flowers, a gift from a friend, and they were the starting point for this whole card. I was excited when I got them and knew they would match this paper perfectly. Aren't they purty??? I added a few small pearls and called it done. No sentiment on this one, which is something I rarely leave off, but when I was making this, it just came together without one.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Penguin gift Card Holder

Happy Saturday Peeps!! It is a chilly Morning here in southwest MO, but I love it!! Great weather for hot chocolate, snuggling and stamping!!! All, being some of my favorite things!

Today I have another gift card holder for the Late Night Stampers Group challenge to share with you, while out and about yesterday I came across a gift card holder similar to this, and knew right away I wanted to make one. The one I saw was made from felt but I used some bashful blue card stock. I added some faux stitching to emulate the felt one. I had purchased this penguin die cut from Peach Keen Stamps awhile back and had not used it yet, so this was the perfect time to pull it out and give it a try!

I added the Santa Hat, it is not part of the die cut. I used the wing from the XL bird punch for the hat and a modified word window for the brim. I used my 1/4 inch punch for the ball at the tip of the hat, I wished i had a small pom-pom but couldn't find one in my stash!!

I added some drippy-goo melty snow along the top and the snowflakes are some felt ones I had already. The top is done with a 3/4 inch circle punch and my crop a dial. I added a bit of bakers twine and it is done, VERY quick and EASY!!! Gotta love that!!

Well, thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

TGIF Peeps!!! Hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to some weekend fun!!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I again reached for some Deck the Halls DSP! I think I am hooked on that paper, I had shied away from this paper, but once I got into it I can't stop using it.....LOL!!!

The stamp set I used is Bells & Boughs from the holiday mini. I stamped the bells onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I then used my aqua painter to color. I used more mustard, cherry cobbler, bravo burgundy and always artichoke ink. I sponged the edges with crumb cake ink. The sentiment is from the stamp set Four the Holidays. I added some always artichoke seam binding ribbon and a button from the Deck the Halls button pack. I threaded a bit of always artichoke card stock through the button and added to the bow. I finished it off with a few antique copper brads.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Merry & Bright

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card share is another try at vintage for me. I first saw a poinsettia made with one of the leaves in the French Foliage stamp set Here on Connie Babbert's blog, yes the same lady who inspired yesterday's pumpkin. She is going to think I am stalking her, but I do love her blog, she has amazing talent.

I made my poinsettia just like she did, but I did make a different card than hers. I wanted to try my hand at vintage again, something I am struggling with, but I do like this one. The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card stock and I followed that with a layer or Cherry Cobbler card stock. I then used another layer of crumb cake that I embossed with the vintage wall embossing folder. I trimmed off the bottom and added a plain strip of crumb cake and stamped the sentiment from the Bright Christmas set. I used Cherry Cobbler ink. I added some ribbon and a bow with the cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon. I then added a vintage brad to the bow center. I also sponged the base card and the top layer of crumb cake card stock with crumb cake ink.

I added three sticky pearls, that I had colored with my yellow copic marker Y15, to the center of my poinsettia and the flower is added to the card base with some foam tape.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Punched Styrofoam Pumpkin

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Yesterday I spent part of my day making this fun little pumpkin. I first saw one like this HERE.

I thought it was so cute and clever, I wanted to make one. I had picked up a couple of Styrofoam balls when I first saw this and just never got around to making it til now. I used a 5 inch ball to make mine. I am not sure what size was used in the one Connie made, I just choose a Styrofoam ball that I thought would be a good size. It took ALOT of flowers to cover this ball. I didn't count but a punched them out, three different times, each time thinking I had enough. LOL!! The SU 5 petal flower punch is what I used. Each flower was sponged with tangerine ink and curled with my bone folder. I used some Super Fine straight pins to hold each flower in place.

I cut the bottom of the Styrofoam ball off flat so it would sit without rolling away. after covering the ball with the pumpkin pie flowers I used the extra large flower punch and some old olive card stock to make the top, stem. I added buttons to the top for the stem, I used my glue gun to hold the stack together. I also randomly added some orange buttons around the ball. I wanted to add some curly vines to the top and I had some of this small floral wire in silver, so I used it, I thought it would be OK it matches the straight pin heads!! I finished it off with a bow made of old olive grosgrain ribbon.

Well, that is all from me thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Gift Card Holder

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today is my first official day as LateNightStampers Design Team Member, I was the guest designer last month and Mary Jo asked me to stay on and I happily accepted. This weeks LateNightStampers Challenge is Gift Card Holders. I spent alot of time last week messing around and looking at alot of gift card holders and I finally just winged it and made this one. I didn't follow any written tutorial but for this "Present Gift Card Holder". It was super simple, here is a pic of the inside:

I first used a piece of card stock 4 by 8 inches folded in half for the base. I used a circle punch to out a small opening at the top of one side. I then added a piece of DSP and some ribbon down the middle. I sealed the sides with some sticky tape. The top piece is a piece of card stock, 3 by 4-1/4 inch, folded in half. I attached it to the base just in the back with more sticky tape.

I added some DSP to the front of the flap and used some Velcro dots to hold it closed.

I made the "bow" with my small and large oval punches. I first punched three small ovals out of some red and baja card stock. I used the negative piece and punched the large oval out, giving me the pieces you see. I then layered them together. spreading them out and alternating them and used a small brad at the base to hold together. I slipped it under the edge of the DSP and glued.

I decorated the outside with a snowflake, a button and the sentiment is from the "Four Holidays" stamp set.

The gift card can just slide down inside or you can make a small "holder" for it like I did with some card stock and a slit punch. I think it turned out kinda cute!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
