Mojo....You're a Hoot!

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge!

I love round cards and really don't make them often enough! It is gloomy here and we are expecting a BIG winter storm, so I opted for some really bright and cheerful colors. I cut my scallop circle with my nesties and some pumpkin pie card stock. I then used my circle cutter to cut the rose red, whisper white and DSP circles.I embossed the white piece with the square lattice embossing folder. The DS paper is from the Sweet & Sour Speciality paper pack. I hand cut the curve from the sketch but it is covered with my crumb cake leaves. I used my owl punch and punched out the body in rose red and pumpkin pie card stock. I cut off the feet of the rose red owl and added the pumpkin pie feet behind it. I punched out his little vest from the same DSP on the card and added the eyes in with crumb cake, basic black and whisper white card stock. The sentiment is computer generated and printed out. I added some little flowers with brads to the leaves and sentiment tag.

Well, that is all from me today, thank you for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC102....Be My Valentine

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I was inspired by THIS card I saw on Linda Callahan's Blog! I used her colors and beautiful bow.

I started my card with a base of basic black card stock. The next layer is the three strips of Crumb Cake Card stock, I embossed those with the Vintage Wall embossing folder. The DS paper is from the Newsprint DSP and is matted with more basic black card stock. I tied a bow arounf this layer with some yummy basic black satin ribbon. The two hearts are cut with the Heart to Heart Embosslit using the Red Glimmer Paper in the mini and layered up with some dimensionals between the layers. I added some jute twine to the hearts and looped that under the bow.

The sentiment comes from the Filled with Love stamp set and is stamped onto the very vanilla card stock and punched out with my 1 inch circle punch. I then punched out a mat for that with the 1-1/4 inch circle punch.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Our Creative Corner-Happy Valentine Round box

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!!

Today is my first official day on the design team at Our Creative Corner Challenge Blog.

This week's challenge is a 3-D Project with a Valentine Theme. I made this fun little round box using the Love Letters DSP from Stampin' Up. I used a tutorial I found Here. I did make an adjustment to the height of my box from the original tutorial, because I wanted a bigger box. The box is super easy and really fun to put together.

I of course used my favorite set, the Stampin' Up Greeting Card Kids. I stamped the little Valentine girl onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon and colored her with my aqua painter. I used daffodil delight for her dress, the bow and hair bow and heart are all done with riding hood red ink. The heart behind her is also made with riding hood red and is punched with the full heart punch and embossed with the square lattice EF. I added the flag sentiment which is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

I hope you’ll play along this week and have fun with this challenge! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! There is no time limit on our challenges. Feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project over at Our Creative Corner so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC.

Well, that is all from me for now, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Scallop Envelope Die Purses

Edited to Add directions for the box, thanks to all who e-mailed me asking for more info

The little box is very simple to make. Cut out two scallop evelopes. Cut the bottom flap to the size of the side flaps, approx. 1/2 inch. Use some sticky tape on the flaps to join the two die cut pieces together to form the small box. The handle is a 1/2 inch by 8-1/2 inch strips, I ran the strips inside the box about half way down the height and added a small brad to hold in place. I used the filigree brads on the front only and just used some sticky tape to hold the back flap down. I added the DSP before putting them together to make it easier for me, but could be added after. I cut a peice of the DSP for the flap, not doing a full die cut as that would be a waste, just a little past the fold/crease on the die and added it to the flap, lining up the dotted line from the base.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have anymore questions.

TGIF Peeps!!!

Yesterday I meet up with a few friends for lunch and alot of chatting and laughing and a couple of bad photos!!!!

I wanted to have a little goodie to give them so I whipped this little Purse treat holders with the Scallop Envelope Die! I used some of my favorite DSP. This is the Stampin' Up Love Letters DSP and I am down to just a few scraps left in the package so I need to add another pack to my next order!

I used some basic black and riding hood red card stock for the base and then added the DSP over that. I used some of the SU filigree brads along with some riding hood red brads for a little embellishment on the fronts. I attached a handle with brads too.

These little purses hold two ghiradelli chocolates. What could be better? Chocolate and good friends, really good friends. Loyal and trustworthy and friends I would do anything for!!! Seriously, good people!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

My January Calendar Page

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

The month is about over, so I had to get my January calendar page done. I spent some time yesterday, at a friends house, working on my calendar pages. I have a couple more done!!! I am showing this one now and will show the rest of the pages as the month's go along. I am using all Pure Innocence stamps and digi stamps on this calendar. I really love these Pure Innocence little girls, they are sooooo cute.

I colored this little Winter girl with my copics. I used bashful blue and ballet blue card stock to embellish this page. The snowflakes are a combo of nesties and punches. I added a silver sticky pearl to the center. The DS paper is from a local stamp store and the sentiment on this one comes from another MFT stamp set.

I added some glitter to the girls hat and boot cuffs and on the snow. The small snowflakes around her are some of the pieces that came out of the punched panel from above. I just added a few randomly around her. I think it turned out really cute, if I do say so myself and just wait til you see some of the other pages!!!

Well, that is it from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo....Friend

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is one I made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I started my card with a base of Night of Navy and I followed that with Baja Breeze card stock. The DP is from the Springtime Vintage paper pack. I again used that sweet little Valentine Girl from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. She is colored with baja, riding hood red, blush blossom and crumb cake ink. I cut her out and added her to my sentiment piece. The sentiment comes from the Great Friend Stamp set. I stamped with black stazon onto very vanilla card stock. That is mounted onto some baja embossed card stock and then some night of navy card stock cut with my lacey circle nesties. I added some red rhinestones and some very vanilla seam binding ribbon.

Well, I have a busy day today, so I am keeping this short and sweet, hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

OCC....Happy Birthday!

Hello Peeps and Happy Monday!!!

Today I am sharing a card i made with the challenge this week on the Our Creative Corner Blog. It's a "Three Musketeers" color challenge which actually means an analogous color scheme challenge. So we are to choose any 3 colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. I choose, Red, Orange and Yellow, which translates in my colors as, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard. I have to admit, this is NOT my favorite card I have ever made, the colors are a bit much for my taste.

I used the SAB set Sweet Summer and water colored the flowers with the colors I choose. I also used some always artichoke for the leaves! The base of the card is Poppy Parade and I followed that with some pumpkin pie card stock and the DS paper from the Sweet and Sour Speciality Pack. I used a bit of more mustard that I had embossed with the square lattice EF, I cut the image out with my circle nesties and matted with a scallop circle nestie in poppy parade. I used some poppy parade ribbon and wrapped it around and tied a pretty bow. I was going to have the sentiment hang from the bow but couldn't get one I liked to work. So I just ended up stamping and using the word window punch and added it across the middle flower at the bottom. I finished it off with a few silver pearls and called it done!!

I have a mojo card to show you tomorrow that I like much better and this weekend will be a busy time on the blog, Saturday I will have my first item up as one of the new Design Team members on the Our Creative Corner Blog and the Paper Crafters Sample Design Team will be having a blog hop and of course the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, so be sure and keep an eye out for all the FUN!!!

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC101.....Thank You for your Kindness

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started my card with a base of Pear Pizzazz. I followed that up with some designer paper form the Springtime Vintage paper pack, which is a new pack in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Love this paper! I then used the Top Note die and some Baja Breeze card stock and another piece of paper from the Springtime Vintage pack. The main element is an oval piece of watercolor paper that is matted with a pear pizzazz scallop oval.

I used a SAB set, that will be available starting the 25th for free with a $50.00 purchase. The set is called Sweet Summer. I am really liking this set for water coloring, so pretty. The sentiment is from the Hostess set Occasional Quotes. I added some pear pizzazz ribbon and some pearls to the corners. I also added some diamond dust glitter to the bee's wings and to the flower centers.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Owl Always Love You and Exciting News!!!

Good Friday Evening Peeps!!! I am popping in here with a quick post, I wanted to share with you a cute little valentine box I made. I went to a friends house today to stamp. We made these fun little boxes from the two tags die from Stampin' Up.

HERE is a link to the bog where you can find a downloadable PDF file for making these boxes! Super cute and oh so easy!!!

Head on over to WENDY'S Blog to see the box she made, it is very cute! She had the paper shreds and the VERY IMPORTANT chocolate for the boxes.

You know I have been playing with my owl punch alot lately, so I took it along with me to Wendy's house because I knew I would want to put one on my box. Isn't he adorable? Wendy had the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits, which by the way, is a perfect matt for the large heart punch. I love that embosslit, it is going on my next order!! The sentiment, was Wendy's idea and fits perfectly with the owl theme, it is printed out from the computer. She also had the perfect ribbon and heart brads to finish this off. Cute huh?

I also have some very exciting news!!!

I have been asked to be a part of the design team at Our Creative Corner! The ladies there are so talented, and I am looking forward to working with them and getting to know them better. If you haven't been to the site before, go check it out!!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SC316...Whoo Loves Ya Baby? Set

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today's share is a card and matching goodie box. I made the card with this week' sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers. I have been playing around alot with the Owl Punch lately. I love it! You NEED this punch!

I started the card with a base of real red card stock. I then used some pretty in pink card stock that I embossed with the square lattice embossing folder. the DS paper is from the Prints Patterns paper pack. The owl is punched out with chocolate chip card stock. I used some more of the DSP for his little vest. The heart behind the owl is punched with the large heart punch out of pretty in pink card stock and embossed with the square lattice EF too. The sentiment is just typed out and printed from my computer. I hand cut the flag and curled it a bit. I added a few silver pearls and a button with a twine bow to the sentiment flag.

I made the matching goodie box with the scallop envelope die, I just cut two and put together to make a small box, perfect for the Ghirardelli chocolate or other small treats.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

OCC...Loads of Love!

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing card made with this week's challenge on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This week is a sketch challenge, called "Let's Play Dress Up". Use the basic sketch and dress it up however we wanted.

You all know I love a sketch challenge. I pulled out an oldie but a goodie Stampin' Up set. I have had this set forever and I have hardly ever used it. I started by stamping the little truck onto some GP card stock with some Memento black ink. I colored it with my copic markers. I am still learning with those, but I do like how the truck turned out. The hearts are colored the same way, with copics, using some pinks and reds, and then I added a bit of glitter to them.

I then looking for some paper and card stock to match the truck. The closest I could find was some Marina Mist. I had just gotten the Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, which includes Marina Mist so I pulled out a piece. I also used some white card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF. I added the sentiment with black stazon ink using my stamp-a-ma-jig and masking off to make the straight line sentiment, because the stamp is not made that way.

I added some Marina mist ribbon and some red mini brads for a pop of color.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Owl Calendars

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing some Owl Calendars I whipped up yesterday! These are a shameless CASE of some I saw on Diana Gibbs Blog. I did make a change or two. I, of course, used googlie eyes on mine, like the paper clip bookmarks I made last week. I used the Stampin' Up Love Letters Designer Series Paper. I made the base out of very vanilla card stock and the Scallop Square Clear Die. I cut two scallops and layered together to make the base of the piece. I then used some basic black card stock and then the designer paper. The calendars are some I bought in a bulk buy awhile back, I was determined not to let these go to waste, as I had bought some a couple of years ago and never used them at all. I used the owl punch and the bird punch both. The pieces behind the owl are made with the scallop circle punch and the circle is cut with my nesties. I matted the calendars with card stock too. I added some sticky magnet strips to the back so these can be hung on the refrigerator or a file cabinet.

Here are a few more pics of them:

And a few more:

And two more:

Well, that is all from me today, I will be listing a couple of these in my etsy shop, link in my sidebar, so head on over there if you would like to get one! Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC100.....LOVE

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

I flipped the sketch for my card, I rarely do that but, I did this time. I started my card with a base or rose red card stock. My card is a 5 inch square. I followed with a layer or whisper white and the designer paper is from the Stampin' Up Sweet & Sour Speciality Pack. I used a heart shaped paper doily for my circle element from the sketch.

The strip to the side is more rose red card stock with the edge punched with the pinking hearts border punch. The stamped sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Full of Love set. I masked off the "O" in the Love and added in the little Valentine girl from the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I colored her with some pretty in pink, rose red, blush blossom and crumb cake ink. I added some whisper white satin ribbon and a pink button. I threaded some silver cord through the button and added a heart pin to the bow. I finished it off with some silver sticky pearls at each corner.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

This will be Laura's last week of being on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team, she is stepping back to have some more family time, we will miss her and her fabulous creations!

SC315....Butterfly Thank You

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is one I made with this week's sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

I started my card with a base of crumb cake card stock. I then followed up with some riding hood red that was embossed with the Vintage Wall EF. Then the other two pieces of designer paper is from the Stampin' Up Love Letters DSP. I added some black ribbon and a strip of basic black card stock that was punched with my scallop edge punch.

I made my tag with basic black and crumb cake card stock. The butterfly is made with the Sizzix Butterfly Die and more of the Love Letters DSP and also a piece of Newsprint DSP. I added some very vanilla and cherry cobbler seam binding and an antique brad to the top of the tag. Down the middle of the butterfly is some sticky pearls. I finished with some basic black mini brads. The thank you flag comes from the Level 1 Hostess set "Because I Care".

Owl Paper Clip Bookmarks

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing some cutie patootie Owl Bookmarks/Paper Clips. I made these with the Stampin" Up Extra Large Two Step Owl Punch! That Punch is so much fun and I haven't used it much lately. So I pulled it out to make a few of these for my etsy store. I had an order for one set so while making that one, I figured I might as well make up a few more. I used some retired Stampin Up paper, Sending Love, from last year. I wanted these to have a Valentine feel so this paper was perfect. I used some large paper clips I had bought in a bulk buy recently. I added some googlie eyes to the owls, love the look of that! I packaged these up by using some crumb cake card stock and more of the designer paper. I think they turned out cute!

While playing with the punch I thought I would try to see if I could make a few matching magnets. I used some magnet sheets I bought from a fellow blogger. I punched out the body only, (avoiding the feet) and by putting a bit of muscle behind it, and it worked perfectly. I then punched out the owl with chocolate chip card stock and put the card stock onto the magnet sheet by peeling away the film covering the sticky side of the magnet and lining the two up.

The paperclip bookmarks are available to purchase in my etsy store, link is in my sidebar if you want a set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Mojo....Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I know it will come as no surprise to you that I am still using the Stampin' Up "Greeting Card Kids" stamp set. I hope you all are not sick of it yet because I am not and so I think you might just have to endure more cards made with it for awhile anyway.

I used the Love Letters DS paper. The card stock I used is Crumb Cake and Riding Hood Red. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. The ribbon is some retired, riding hood red taffeta. Did you notice my new Lacey circle Nesties? They came to me all the way from Pennsylvania via my friend Wendy! Thanks so much Wendy for picking them up for me! I love them muchly!!!

I made two little folded fan flowers, glued them to my card with my glue gun and added a button to the centers of each.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

OCC....Hey There Chickadee!

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the Our Creative Corner Challenge, Hey Chickadee!

I took a very literal interpretation on the challenge. They had a beautiful winter picture of a chickadee. Here it is:

I have seen this bird made with the Stampin' Up two step bird punch and I knew I wanted to give it a try. I just googled for a chickadee image and made mine. I first punched the bird with whisper white and then with basic black and then with basic gray. I used a pencil and drew out the pieces for the bird. I cut away what I didn't need and glued it together. I punched out a basic gray wing and added it to the bird with a dimensional. I punched out the leaf stem with some chocolate chip card stock and cut down the leaves and used my 1/4 inch circle punch, (retired) and punched out some circles with cherry cobbler card stock. I added them to the stem with a bit of glue and then added some crystal effects over the "berries" to give them a bit of shine. The sentiment comes from the retired Really Retro stamp set and is stamped with black stazon. I punched out with the word window punch and then feed back into the punch to trim the ends. I punched out another word window with cherry cobbler and matted the sentiment. I wrapped one end around the edge of the panel and added some mini black brads. I pierced three corners with my piercing tool and mat pack.

The base of the card is whisper white and I followed that with some basic gray that was embossed with my Swiss dot EF. I added some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon and made a bow.

I am also using this card for this weeks CAS challenge on splitcoast, A Day in the Snow, chickadees are snow birds!!!

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC99....Miss You Already

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

Today's card is made with a Pure Innocence stamp I have had for a long time and frankly all of the playing I have been doing lately with the Stampin' Up Greeting Card Kids lead me to this stamp for today's card. I think these pure innocence stamps are about the cutest stamps ever and I just had to pull this set out and give it some love too!

I started my card with a base of crumb cake card stock. I followed up with some whisper white and Peach Parfait card stock. I used the SU square lattice embossing folder on the peach and white and then layered a piece of white behind it. I stamped the little My Balloon girl onto some GP card stock with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the girl in with my copic markers. I am still learning those and hope to some day be as good as my fellow Sweet Sunday stamper Karen Motz, she is my hero!!! So be kind Karen, and tell me my coloring is great, even tho I know I still need to practice alot more...LOL!! Love ya Karen!!!

I added some Peach Parfait ribbon and a few silver pearls for accent. The sentiment is from the retired SU set, Really Retro.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Greeting Card LOVE

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Today I have another card to share made with The Greeting Card Kids stamp set. This time I also used the Filled with Love stamp set and added the little valentine girl to the Love, replacing the "O" in the word.

I used Regal Rose, So Saffron and whisper white card stock. The DS paper is from the retired Georgia Peach paper pack. I stamped the little girl onto the white card stock and colored her dress with regal rose and my aqua painter. I also used daffodil delight, blush blossom and pink pirouette. I added red stickles to the heart she is holding. I made this card for the Ways To Use It Challenge on Splitcoast and the challenge was to add twine to your card. I added a button with some twine through the holes in the corner. I pierced all around the main image with my piercing tool and mat pack. The panel is added to the base with some dimensionals. I used some so saffron grosgrain ribbon on one side.

Well, that is all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card so be sure and come back by for that. Thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SC314...Be Mine

Happy TGIF Peeps!!!!

Today I have another card made with the darling little Greeting Card Kids stamp set!! What a surprise huh? Tomorrow I will have another using her too. I think someone needs to come and take my set away from me, pry it from my hands, so I can use some of my other sets, that have not even seen the light of day. Sigh, so sad but I am having fun trying to see how many cards I can make using the same set. LOL!!

This card was made using the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge. I loved the sketch right away and set to work to make my card.

I started with a base of baja breeze card stock. I then used a piece of whisper white card stock and embossed it with the vintage wallpaper EF. The DSP used is from the retired Parisian Breeze Speciality pack. I added some whisper white satin ribbon to the side.

I stamped the little girl onto my paper with black stazon and colored her with my aqua painter and ink from the ink pads, just squish it a little to get the ink onto the lid of the ink pad and use that to color. I cut her out and added her to the main piece with some dimesionals. The sentiment is from the Filled with Love stamp set and is stamped with real red ink. I added two small baja hearts under the sentiment, those was added because of a bit of a smudge of red from the sentiment, but they look cute anyway huh?

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!! I see you!!!

Mojo.......love you

Happy Hump Day Peeps, I want to thank everyone who took the time to e-mail and comment on my post yesterday. It seems I have struck a cord in alot of my readers, Kindness does matter and I am so thankful to you who sent me messages and told me their stories of how others have effected their life with just a small act of kindness.

Today I have another Greeting Card Kids card to share with you. This card is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

This card is made with Concord Crush card stock and the Lap of Luxury DSP and the neutral very vanilla card stock. I added some Concord Crush ribbon and small library clip. The image is colored the same way I have been coloring all of these images lately, stamped with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink from my ink pads. I used perfect plum for the little girls dress, because i have found from past experience the Concord Crush ink does not watercolor well. I also used pretty in pink a bit of real red, and blush blossom. I added a bit of icicle stickles to the heart. The sentiment is from the "Short & Sweet stamp set and is stamped with concord crush onto very vanilla. I cut the end into a "v" and matted with concord crush card stock, I rolled it a bit around a marker to make it wavy.

I tried something a bit different with my picture today and used a piece of DSP in the background, do you like it? Or do you prefer the white background? I posted a pic of both so I could get your input.

Well, that is all for today, Thanks for coming by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
