Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

I have a plethora of sneak peeks for you today, all wrapped up in this "Holiday Stocking"

Tomorrow is the day, September 1st, the day the Stampin Up Holiday Mini goes live! The day you can order for yourself this fabulous Holiday Stocking Bigz Die, the so pretty Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty DSP, the Quilted Satin Cherry Cobbler Ribbon, the Winter Wishes Stitched Felt adornments and the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.

So cute HUH? I love this die! I used some Cherry Cobbler, wild wasabi and very vanilla card stock for my stocking along with the DSP. This is a semi CASE of the stocking in the Stampin Success, a magazine for demos. I changed up the embellishments from the one in the magazine. I added some letters to the front of my stocking using the Naturally Serif Die.

A close-up of the stitched felt and quilted ribbon:

Isn't it so purdy??!!!!!! Love that ribbon and the stitched felt is adorable!!!
You know, I have alot more ideas with this die!!!!!

Color Challenge....Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday Peeps.

It is the last Tuesday of August and my last card as a guest designer with the color challenges on Splitcoaststampers. This one was a tough one for me, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler and Calypso Coral. I fretted around a bit with these colors. I made two different cards, this being one of them.

I used the Stampin Up hostess set called "Array of Sunshine". I stamped the flowers onto very vanilla card stock with Cherry Cobbler and Calypso Coral ink. My Cherry Cobbler ink pad has gone a bit funky, it isn't stamping very good and it seems to be kinda gummy of something??!!!?? But I digress!!

I cut out the flowers and layered them up and added them to my square with dimesionals. The main image panel is just cherry cobbler and some First Edition DSP layered together. I added some swirls and leaves made with More Mustard card stock.

The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler and then I used some More Mustard card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF.
I added some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon and some silver pearls, non SU.

The sentiment on here is a retired hostess set called "Something to Celebrate".

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC132.....Thankful Thoughts

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

I am dreaming of fall here, I know it is a bit early, but it is getting closer, school has started which means football games and the days are gradually getting shorter so fall can not be far behind.
I am using a couple of sneak peek items on this card. The stamp set is the new "Always Thankful" stamp set from Stampin' Up and you can get this set on September 1st. Also the DSP I used is the oh so lovely "Spice Cake" and may just be my favorite paper this year!

The base of my card is Early Espresso and I followed that with some very vanilla card stock. Then comes the fabulous DSP and then three more strips of the same DSP.
I stamped the main image onto very vanilla with black stazon and colored it in with my aqua painter and ink pads. I did stamp the image again to get an extra pumpkin and leaf to add to the image. The leaf is covering a little smudge and the extra pumpkin on the ground is there because I just think it is cute!!!
The sentiment comes from the "Grateful Greetings" stamp set. I used an oval element in place of the circle on the sketch. I added some Pool Party ribbon and three pretty little basic pearls.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

OCC....Color Challenge

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!
It is time for another new challenge on the OCC Blog. I am the hostess again this week and I have a fun color challenge, I call it "Neutrals with a POP".

Basic Gray, Basic Black and the POP is some pretty Real Red, of course you can add in some white or vanilla.

I just love this color combo, I started with a base of Basic Black and then I followed that with some basic gray that I embossed with the Stripes EF.

The stamp set I used is the new "Love & Sympathy" from Stampin' Up. Such a pretty set. I used my markers in real red and old olive to color the flower. I stamped onto some whisper white card stock. I stamped the sentiment with black. I matted the main image with basic black. I then used some real red that I embossed with the square lattice EF.

I added some real red satin ribbon and three small silver pearls.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Fall Field Flowers

TGIF Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card made with the sketch challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

I love these flowers in the Stampin' Up stramp set called "Field Flowers" and today I wanted to make a fall card. I am using the new DSP that will be available September 1 in the Holiday Mini called "Spice Cake". This paper is seriously FABULOUS!!! Love it! I stamped the flowers using more mustard and cajun craze ink. I cut them out and added them to the card with some dimesionals.

Ya'll know my love of making sentiment flags but that was not my intention when looking at this sketch. But when I laid out the strip across the card and decided to put my sentiment on it, I just HAD to make it a flag. :)

I added an antique brad and some old olive grosgrain ribbon to the end of the sentiment piece. I used a pencil to curl the piece and added some dimesionals under the curved portion.

I embossed the more mustard piece with the square lattice EF and added a few more brads.

The base of the card is Soft Suede and I followed that with some more mustard card stock.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Out On A Limb

Happy Hump Day peeps!!!

Today I have a fun Halloween Project to share with you featuring some sneak peeks from the upcoming Stampin Up Holiday Mini.
I created these treat tags using the Stampin Up "Out on a Limb" Stamp Set and the 1 x 8 Cellophane Bags. These are narrow cellophane bags perfect for filling with a row of treats, a pencil or anything!

And here are close ups of the tags so you can see them a bit better. I used a piece of hemp and a button to tie the tags to the bags.

All the tags are 2-1/4 " x 3" I used the tag corner punch (retired), to make the top.
Each tag has some Halloween paper from either the "Frightful Sight" pack or the upcoming "Pick Your Poison" DSP.

For this tag I used the cute little witch and her broom from the set.
I stamped her and her broom onto some white card stock and colored with my aqua painter.
I punched a 1-1/2" circle with daffodil delight and sponged with pumpkin pie ink. I added the moon to the tag with some dimensionals and added the witch and broom.

The next tag is made the same as the witch but I used the cat and limb stamp.

I cut out the cat and the limb and added to the moon and then the moon is added to the tag with some dimesionals.

Lastly I used the Limb again and stamped that directly onto the tag and then stamped the cute Moustache Pumpkins onto some white card stock and colored them lightly with some pumpkin pie ink. I cut them out and added them to the tag with a dimesionals.

All the sentiments are from the Teeny Tiny Stamp Set and is stamped with black stazon onto the tag.
I added some black rhinestones (retired) on each tag.

I will be adding to my bucket as the weeks click along heading towards Halloween, should have it overflowing by then.

Well, that is all from me today, hope you enjoyed the little "Out On A Limb" Treat Tags. Thanks for stopping by and
 HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

CC338.....Sweet School Days

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am sharing my card sample made for the Color Challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The colors today are Real Red, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight. I used the neutral of Very Vanilla. This week the dessert option is "back to school' - think kid stamps, backpacks, lined paper, apples, pencils, books, rulers etc!

I went a bit over board on the "back to school" theme! LOL! The base of my card is Night of Navy card stock. The DSP on here is from a retired Stampin Up pack, I think "Newsprint". I used my spiral edge punch down one side of the DSP.

I used on of my favorite Stampin' Up stamp sets called "Greeting Card Kids". I stamped the school kids image onto some very vanilla card stock with black stazon. I colored them in with my aqua painter and my ink pads. I matted this piece with real red card stock and pierced all around the edges with using my piercing tool and matt pack. I cut a Night of Navy piece of card stock the same size as my image piece and embossed it with the Stripes EF.
I made my Pencil with some Daffodil Delight card stock. I first printed out my sentiment directly onto the card stock. I then made the tip with some crumb cake and basic black card stock. I added a bit of blush blossom card stock to the top for the eraser. I then used a MS punch to make the apple with some red glitter paper. The ABC's are cut with the Naturally Serif die. I finished it off with a silver clip.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC131....Merry Christmas

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

Well, as you can see I flipped the sketch.  I wanted to use some of my new stuff that will be available from Stampin' Up's Holiday mini catalog on September 1st. I used the new paper called "Frostwood Lodge". It is so cool, love the woodsy/country feel of it. I made my stockings with the "Stocking Builder Punch". There is a matching stamp set for this punch too. I embossed one of the stockings with yet another new item the "Snow Burst" Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I used some Early Espresso bakers twine to "hang" the stockings and to add a bow. The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler card stock and I also used some Early Espresso card stock to mat some of the layers.

The sweet little sentiment on here is from another new Stampin Up set called "Forest Festivities". I added a few silver pearls, non SU to finish it off.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

OCC...Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

It is time for another challenge over on the Our Creative Corner Blog.

This week I am the challenge hostess and as most of you know I LOVE a sketch challenge so, yes you guessed it I have a fun sketch for you:

All my blog followers know that I LOVE Halloween and it is never to early to start making some cool Halloween cards. I used the Stampin Up "Dark & Dreary" Stamp set and the "Frightful Sight" DS paper.
The base of my card is basic black card stock and then I followed that up with some Cajun Craze card stock.  I used the square lattice embossing folder on my circle element on this card. I had originally thought I would use the spider web folder but went with this because the spider web didn't show as well.
I sponged my main image with old olive, pacific point and Cajun craze ink. I masked off the circle in the middle and the white edge. I added some old olive glitter brads and black satin ribbon.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

CAS....friend to friend

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I have been covered up over here making swaps and trying to get some Design Team commitments done. I am running behind so today I am sharing a card made a week ago for the Clean & Simple Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

It was a one layer sketch challenge. I used a set I love to watercolor from Stampin' Up called "The Nicest Things".

I stamped the image onto some white card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. To be honest, for coloring directly onto card stock and not using watercolor paper, I prefer to use a non SU white. I do love very vanilla for this method of declaring but the SU white is a bit to slick and smooth, I have found  some white by neenah is perfect for me. Still doing this method of water coloring you need to be careful with the amount of water and ink. I would say this method is an advance skill technique, but give it a try if you love to watercolor, I love the look.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

CC329.....Thanks Big Time

Good Morning Peeps!! It is Tuesday so that means it Color Challenge time. I am honored to be guest designing in the color challenges on Splitcoaststampers this month!!

The colors this week are Sahara Sand, Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride, with a a neutral of white or vanilla!

I chose to use the new Stampin Up set called "Field Flowers", I stamped one flower with wisteria wonder and one with blushing bride. I stamped the stem with Sahara sand. I cut out the flower heads and added them to the image panel with some dimesionals.

The base of the card is Sahara Sand and I followed that with blushing bride and then Wisteria Wonder that I embossed with the square lattice EF.

I have used the Lay out several times lately, it is great for a large image panel. I love a tilted panel too, adds some visual interest.

The sentiment here is from the Stampin Up set called  "A Word For You" and I stamped with black stazon

I used some beautiful Blushing Bride ribbon across the bottom and tied a pretty bow. This ribbon ties a nice bow, I know I say that about almost all of SU's ribbon, but it is true!

I added a sweet little butterfly that I made with the Stampin Up butterfly embosslit. I layered two together and added two small pearls to the middle. I finished the card off with three little basic pearls at the top.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC130.......Heartfelt Thanks

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

My card is made with some sneak peeks of items in the upcoming Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog.

I am using and image from the new "Always Thankful" stamp set and the Designer Paper is from the new Spice Cake paper pack!! Love both of these!!

The base of the card is Soft Suede card stock and then the next is some of the DS paper and a strip of soft suede card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF. I then used another piece od the DSP and some pool party card stock that I scalloped with the Scallop Square Bigz Die, that was actually a piece I had in my scrap pile!! This sketch was a bit tricky for me, but I like the end result!

I stamped the image with black stazon onto some very vanilla card stock. I then colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I matted with more soft suede and added it to the base with some dimesionals. The sentiment is from the Fabulous  Phrases stamp set and then I punched out with the 1-1/4 inch circle punch and matted with the 1-3/8 inch cirle punch. I added a mini library clip and some matching brads.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OCC....Fun with Fruit

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

It is time for another challenge over on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This week our challenge hostess is Kristin Tierney from LillyBeth Designs.

Her challenge for us is:
Fun with Fruit - Summer is the best time for fresh fruit, this week make a creation focusing on fruit images!
She offered up these images for inspiration:

I was totally inspired by this beautiful creation by Cindy Beach. I loved the look of her card so I chose to use the same papers and stamp set. I changed my card up a bit from hers to make it my own but she was my total inspiration for this card. I hope she doesn't mind.

The base of the card is whisper white and then I followed that up with some Pool Party card stock and then the Designer Paper is from the Stampin Up "Domestic Goddess"  DSP. This paper is amazing, I love the colors and patterns in this pack! The other color of card stock I used on this card is Calypso Coral.

The image here is from the Stampin' Up "Cherish Friendship" stamp set. I stamped with black stazon onto some white cardstock and used my aqua painter and ink pads to color. The sentiment is from an older retired hostess set, my box doesn't have a name on it and I don't remember the name. I matted my image with a die cut from the Perfect Pennant Die and added a bunch of basic Pearls. The scallops are made with the Tasteful Trim Die. I also used some of the pretty Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Another Color Challenge Card

TGIF Peeps!!!

So sorry for being MIA for a few days, it has been hectic around here and then to top it all off I have had a bit of a stomach thing the last few days! YUCK!!!

Today I am sharing another card made for the color challenge this week on splitcoast. This is actually the first one I made and I wasn't thrilled with it so I made another. After looking at this one for awhile I think it is alright so I decided to post it.

The color challenge was Crumb Cake, Red and Yellow. On this one I used Real Red and Daffodil Delight. The base is crumb cake, I added a a bit of basic black to this one. I used the new Houndstooth Embossing Folder, so cute!!

I haven't played with the build a blossom stamp set and matching punch in awhile so I decide to make a big ol' flower. I used some old olive and pear pizazz card stock for the leaves. I added a yellow button to the center and few little black brads. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up "Three Little Words" stamp set.

Well, that is all from me thanks for stopping by, have a great day and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Color Challenge....Happy Birthday

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!

Today is week two of my guest designer gig over at Splitcoaststampers Color Challenges!!

I am super excited to be a guest designer this month!! Today's colors are Kraft, Red and Yellow.
I choose to use Stampin Up's Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight. I also used the fun Stampin Up  Hostess set called Array of Sunshine. This has to be my favorite Hostess set, so far!!! :)

I stamped the flowers with Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight several times on scrap whisper white and then cut out and layered them up. If you follow the color challenges at all on Splitcoast you know that they generally have a desert option with the challenge and this week the desert is "leaves" and yes the challenge hostess said they could be green. I decided to use the little leaves die to make my leaves and I also ran them trough the big shot with the square lattice Embossing Folder.

I also used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on the Crumb Cake piece layer after the base.
I layered the flowers and leaves on a piece of whisper white. I added a piece of poppy parade that I had  punched with my scallop edge punch. The sentiment is from the Hostess set called Happiest Birthday Wishes. I cut a top note die with some daffodil delight and cut off an end piece, then stamped the sentiment and added it under the main image panel. I then used some bakers twine to wrap around and make a tiny bow. I added some buttons and silver pearls for my embellishments.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC129....Happy Birthday

Good Morning Peeps!!!
It is Sunday which means it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the SWEET sketch Karen has for us this week:

I have been wanting to play around with this new set I got with my first big order from the new Stampin Up catalog called "Up, Up & Away". I loved it right away when I saw it and haven't had a chance to play with it so today was the day!

I love hot air balloons, I have never rode in one but I have saw some up close. The first vacation that my DH and I took after we were married, almost 35 years ago, was to Colorado. DH was raised there and he wanted to show me around. I have to say I love Colorado, the mountains, the sites, the smells, the fresh air and beautiful rivers. On that vacation we spent most of our time camping, yes we were hippies, LOL!!!! We would see alot of the sites and visit some of his family and friends during the day and at night we stayed in various campgrounds. We were in and around Denver, Colorado Springs and Golden, DH is from Arvada, which is outside of Denver. One early morning we were awaken to some very loud swooshing sounds, when we came out of our tents we saw hundreds of beautiful, colorful hot air balloons launching. It was a spectacular site and one of my fondest memories of that trip. I also sprained my ankle so bad I couldn't walk for days on that trip but that is another story!!
This card is for my DH's birthday, next month and inside there will be tickets for us to take a hot air balloon ride, hopefully!

The base of the card is real red and the DS paper I used is from the Stampin' Up Big Top Birthday paper pack. It is a bright one and not my usual style, but I have dreamed of making DH this card every since I first saw this set.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

OCC....Oh the Flowers

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

It is time for another challenge over on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This week our challenge hostess is Kristin Tierney from LillyBeth Designs.

Her challenge for us is: Oh the Flowers! - Scandinavian countries are known for their flowers and their beauty is inspiring! Using these photos as inspiration, create a project NOT using flowers of any kind!

She provided this picture of some beautiful flowers for some inspiration:

I t was hard, looking at all those pretty flowers and then to NOT use flowers on my card!

I chose to use some pretty pinks on my card and I decide to make a cute little pinwheel for the front. This pin wheel die is NOT an Stampin Up die. I used the Speciality Designer Paper from SU called "Flirtatious".

I used white for my base and then followed that with some melon mambo card stock and then some of the pretty DSP. I used the Tasteful Trim die for my scallops across the bottom and also some white satin ribbon.

The top panel that the pinwheel is on is made up for melon mambo and white. I embossed the white with the Houndstooth Embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Hostess stamp set called Happiest Birthday Wishes.
Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Melon Doily Birthday

TGIF Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made while working on another challenge, this is NOT the one I ended up using you can see that one tomorrow.

Not alot of stamping going on, I used a piece of the Stampin' Up Flirtatious Speciality Paper, Love this paper, it coordinates with the Delicate Doilies stamp set and the colors in the papers are some of my all time favorites.
The base of my card is Melon Mambo Card stock and then I used another piece of Melon Mambo that I embossed with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. I then used a layer of whisper white and then the DSP. I stamped one of the doilies from the so pretty Stampin' Up set called Delicate Doilies with Melon mambo ink onto whisper white. I cut this out and added it to the card with dimesionals. I added over a white doily on the DSP. It looks like it was made to go there. I added some basic rhinestones around the doily and a bit bigger ones in the top corner.
I used some whisper white satin ribbon to wrap around and tie a bow. The sentiment on here comes from the new Stampin Up set called Happiest Birthday Wishes, this is a new Hostess set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
 HAPPY STAMPING!!
