FMS....Thankful Thoughts

Hello Peeps!!

I have a fun fall card to share with you, I made this one using this week's sketch on the Freshly Made Sketch Blog .

Great sketch huh?
I have been playing around making some fall leaves and trying to convince myself that I DON'T need the new set in the Stampin Up mini called Wonderfall with it's matching die. I haven't convinced myself yet, I imagine it will be on my next order even tho I do have a few leaves sets already.
Anyway, aren't these leaves pretty?
I made them using the French Foliage set. I stamped this leaf image with Soft Suede ink onto three colors of card stock, I used So Saffron, Riding Hood Red and Pumpkin Pie. I then cut them out and sponged each, the So Saffron was sponged with More Mustard and Tangerine Tango.
The Pumpkin Pie leaf was sponged with Tangerine Tango and Cherry Cobbler ink and the Riding Hood Red leaf was sponged with Cherry Cobbler. They look pretty life-like don't' ya think?

The base of the card is crumb cake and the DSP is from the Orchard Harvest pack. I matted the DSP with More Mustard and Very Vanilla card stock.
I made a twine bow and added it to the leaves. The sentiment is from the retired "Grateful Greetings" stamp set.

The inside:

Thanks for stopping by today, I did get a chance to play a bit today so I have a couple of other cards to show you this week so stay tuned for those.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Dynamic Duos.....Gift Card Holder

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Birthday season is in full swing in our house, we have alot of fall birthdays.

Seems like I am always rushing at the last minute to make a card or in this case a gift card holder for a birthday gift.
I pulled this one together in a hurry using the colors challenge this week on the Dynamic Duo Blog.

Great monochromatic colors and even better for making a masculine gift card holder.

I wanted to use this fun new set I got awhile back from Stampin Up called "Blue Ribbon"
I stamped the "ribbon" base with always artichoke onto whisper white and cut out. I then stamped the middle "birthday" part with certainly celery ink onto whisper white an used my 1-1/4"  circle punch.
I added this to the base with some dimesionals.

The DSP on here is from tow different retired paper packs.
I added some certainly celery 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon across the bottom. I "girled" it up just a bit by adding the certainly celery bow, bt I don't think the recipient will mind to much.

Sorry I didn't get a pic of the inside, my OTT lite died as I was taking pictures. I hope it is just a bulb I need and not the whole lamp.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Sweet Sunday.....Thinking of You

Happy Sunday peeps!!
Time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

Love this sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I had been looking at this sketch and thinking about it all week trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I finally thought I would just put a sentiment on the main panel and make some little punched flowers for the three elements on the side.
I went digging through my sets to find a sentiment to use, I think I may need to order a few more sentiment sets.....:)
I went with this one from the Stampin Up Thoughts and Prayers, just masked off the part I didn't want to use and stamped with black stazon onto whisper white card stock. I then pierced a heart shape around it using the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.

I made the coral flowers using the Boho Punch and added a basic pearl to the center of each..
The base of the card is Pool Party card stock and then the next layer is Calypso Coral. The DSP on here is from the International Bazaar
The three strip flags are coral embossed with the square lattic EF, a strip of DSP from the International Bazaar pack and a strip of whisper white embossed with one of the Delicate Designs EF.
I finished it off with three pearls in the top corner.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

FMS....Thank You

Hello Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using this week's sketch on the Freshly Made Sketch Blog.

A great sketch and since I am thinking Fall, I wanted to make a fall card.
I was inspired by the fabulous Leanne Pugliese and her card to pull out my very neglected Stampin Up "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set.
I stamped the leaf image with black stazon onto some watercolor paper and colored the leaves using my water brush and Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Daffodil Delight, and Riding Hood Red inks. I used Crumb cake and Soft Suede on the little acorn. I then used Crumb Cake ink to add a shadow around the image.
The sentiment on here comes from the "Blooming with Kindness" stamp set.
I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to cut out the image and for the crumb Cake mat.

The base of the card is a 5 inch X 10 inch piece of Crumb Cake scored and folded in half.
The next layer is Cajun Craze and all the DSP on here is from the "Orchard Harvest" pack.
I love that pack.
The most challenging part about my card was doing the strips behind the main panel.
I messed with them for a good while to get them right.
The main image is added to the base with dimensionals and then I added a Crumb Cake bow with an antique brad in the center.
I contemplated adding some brads to the corners or in the lower corner but in the end decide to not.
What do you think? Does it need them?

Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Dynamic Duos.......Trick or Treat

Hello Peeps!!

Just popping in here quickly to share a card I made using this week's color on the The Dynamic Duos Blog.
Love this challenge, I am fast becoming a color challenge girl, still love the sketches but I find myself wanting to play each week with this challenge.

This week's colors:

Basic Black and Lucky Limeade with the dessert option of making it a Halloween project.
Right up my alley cos you all know I LOVE me some Halloween!!!
I pulled out my Stampin Up "Toxic Treats" stamp set, I hadn't played with this one yet so I was happy to get the chance to use it.
I stamped the main image onto my lucky limeade card stock with Basic Black craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used my label framelits to die cut the image out.

I then built my tag using Limeade, black and gray card stock. I embossed my gray with the spider web embossing folder.

I used some retired DSP for the two pieces under the tag. I used some 1/2 inch striped satin ribbon, black and gray. I used the ribbon across the DSP and also on the tag along with limeade card stock and a piece of the DSP all cut with a "v" on one end.. I added some of the ribbon to the top of tag as well.
The tag is mounted to the card with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the same set and is also embossed. I cut the ends into "v's" and curled it a bit.
I added three silver brads, tho in the picture they don't really look silver,  to the top corner and called it done.
One more Halloween card ready to send out!
Thanks for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Keep Calm and Shop On

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a couple of note pads I made using the hostess set "Carry On".
I loved this set when it first came out in the catalog and I had to have it right away and then I had never used it til just recently.

I decide to make up a couple of these fun little notepads.
I have made a few of these in the past using some 4x6 lined sticky notepads that I had got at a local Dollar Store.
I love making these and they are fun little gifts.

I started with a couple of the new in colors, I used Midnight Muse and Primrose Petals.
The cover is 6-1/4" x 8-7/8, and scored at 4-1/4 and 4-5/8

I am thinking I need to add a pen to these.

Here is a picture of the inside finished.

And a closeup of the Primrose Notepad

 Inside:

Pretty straight forward but let me know if you have in questions!

Halloween "BOO" Bucket

Happy Friday peeps!!

Today I am sharing a little clear bucket I decorated for Halloween.
I got the clear bucket at a local craft store and went to work!

I first stamped the letters with Tangerine Tango ink onto some Very Vanilla card stock and cut them out.
The letters come from the Stampin Up "Morning Post Alphabet" stamp set, which is one of the stamp sets I earned for free during SAB, another great benefit of being a demo!
After cutting out the letters I mounted them to a piece of black card stock that was die cut and embossed.
Under that is some of the DSP from the "Scarinbone & Howlstooth paper pack.
A close up of the front:

The Skeleton face is from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and I added some googly eyes to him, isn't he cute?

For the top:

I made a rosette from more of the DSP and added a big button that came from some of last years fall buttons, now retired. I added more DSP to the button center and a little bow.
The "Happy Halloween" is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set.
I filled the can with some yummy Halloween chocolate eyeballs and it is all set to go out to a special friend!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

The Paper Players.....With Sympathy

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week on the The Paper Players Blog.
This week is a pretty color challenge:

Also submitting to the The Ribbon Carousel Blog challenge:
 Sympathy Cards.

I stamped the image from the Stampin Up "Serene Silhouettes" with black stazon directly onto some Baja Breeze card stock and then matted the image with basic black card stock.
I stamped the sentiment from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" with black stazon also.
I used my piercing template to pierce the oval around the sentiment. Love the look of that.

The base of the card is Basic Gray and then a layer of Basic black and the another layer of gray that was embossed with the Tulip Frame EF.
I used some Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon to tie around this layer and tied a bow.
The main image piece is mounted to the base with some dimesionals.
I added some basic pearls to the flowers for my finishing touch.
Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

FMS & DD.....Thank You

Happy Monday Peeps!
Yesterday I had some time to play and I made a couple of cards.
This one is made using the sketch on the Freshly Made Sketches Blog and
the colors from the Dynamic Duos Blog.

I pulled out a set I got awhile back and had not inked up. The "Decorate a Daisy" set from Stampin Up.
I stamped two of the daisies using cajun craze in onto very vanilla card stock and cut them out and layered them up.

The DSP on here is from a retired pack, not sure of the name.
I die cut a a doily from the large delicate doilies die and mounted my flower onto it.
I added a Cajun circle to the middle of the flower and a very vanilla button with a twine bow.
The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set.
I used the Wood grain EF on the Always Artichoke Piece and added a Cajun Craze mat that I die cut one edge with one of the dies from the Finishing Touches Edgelit Die.
Well, that is all from me for now, Thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

SSSC167........BOO

Happy Sunday peeps!!
Time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

Love this sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I have been seeing Fall/Pumpkin cards all over blogland this week. It made me want to make a pumpkin card and you all know I love to make these punched pumpkins.
I used my wide oval and large oval punch to make these two.
I used some scrap pumpkin and tangerine card stock and then embossed with a couple of new EF, I used the argyle and Houndstooth folders for these two on  the front. I hand cut the black pieces for the eyes, nose and mouths. I then added some googly eyes, I thing they turned out cute!!

The DSP on here is from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone paper pack. the base of the card is Basic black card stock and then I followed that with some Basic gray and then the DSP.
The "BOO" is die cute from the Billboard Sizzlit die strip that is retired. I added a couple of black brads to the top corners,
and of course I had to decorated the inside:

Congratulations

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend who wanted a card for her boss who  just got a promotion.

I had been wanting to try this "sunburst technique" that I had seen around and thought it would be perfect for this card.
I used the "Orchard Harvest" DSP pack for my "bursts".
I do love the "country feel" of this paper pack.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and I made the flower using some daffodil delight and the Blossom Punch. The center is made with the Boho Punch.
Hope you like it and let me know if you have any questions.
