Dynamic Duos....Perfect Day

Happy Saturday Peeps.

Time for a new color challenge at the Dynamic Duos Blog.

I pulled out a fun new SAB set called "Vintage Verses."
I stamped the sentiment/image onto the Island Indigo card stock with versmark and embossed with some white embossing powder.
I then sponged the center and edges with Island Indigo ink. Very easy and I love the effect. I then matted this image with more Indigo card stock.
I added a strip of punched white card stock across the top, punched with the dotted scallop ribbon border punch.

The base of the card is Pool Party card stock and the next layer is also pool party that I embossed with the perfect dots EF.
The DSP on here is from the Sycamore Street paper pack which is also free during Sale-A-Bration.
I added some Delicate Details Lace Tape across the bottom edge of the main image piece. I then made three rolled flowers using my Sizzix 3-D flower die (non SU) and added them to the card using my glue gun.
I then added some basic pearls to the flower centers and to the top left corner.
I then added two small white flags made from a scrap piece of embossed white card stock I found in my scrap pile.

The rest of the Dynamo Design Team have some wonderful examples with these colors so be sure and hop on over to Dynamic Duos Blog for some great inspiration!!

Still AddINKtive......Blowing Wishes Your Way

Hello Peeps!!

Time for another new challenge at Still AddINKtive Challenges!

This week it is a sketch and color combo.

You can do either the sketch or the color challenge or both, it is up to you!
As you may notice I messed up the color challenge a bit. I looked at the sketch and colors and then went off to make my card, and somewhere along the way I got it in my head that one of the colors was primrose petals instead of the raspberry ripple. I didn't notice that I had used the wrong color til I was loading my card up to the design team blog.
In my defense, I have been very tired and stressed lately and I am running behind on everything, which doesn't make for good crafting time.

I tried to keep my card fairly simple, as I didn't have alot of time to work with it. I knew I wanted to use my fun pinwheel sizzlit die and make a birthday card.
The DSP on here and the pinwheel are from retired packs.
I used the Cloudy Day EF, which I love and it is so cute! A couple of other new items you may notice are the Needlepoint Border EF and the Delicate Details Lace Tape.
The sentiment is from the Wishes Your Way stamp set that goes along with the Pinwheel sizzlit die.
Be sure and hop on over to the Still AddINKtive Challenge BLOG to see what the rest of the team made with this challenge, you will be blown away!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Sweet Sunday....hello, baby

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the Sweet Sketch Karen has for us this week:

I changed the card just a bit and made mine a square. It is actually a 4-1/4 inch square card.
I used the fun SAB set called Patterned Occasions. I love this sweet little elephant in the set and think it is  perfect for a baby card altho the image has a thank you sentiment attached to it. I just masked of the sentiment so I could make a baby card. I used Midnight Muse for the elephant. I stamped it twice and cut out the ear and added it to the main image with a dimensional.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Essential stamp set. I did try and stamp it directly onto the patterned paper, but it didn't show up as well as I wanted, so I just made a flag and added it over it.
I used some Midnight Muse ribbon and a couple of silver pearls to finish it off. It is now ready to head out to a special girl how is expecting in a few weeks!!

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:

Still AddINKtive....Birthday Wishes

Hello Peeps!

Today at Still AddINKtive Challenges we are highlighting three Stampin Up SAB sets, Madison Avenue, Feeling Sentimental and Vintage Verses.
I choose to play with my Madison Avenue set.
I used another SAB freebie the Sycamore Street DSP, and took my color pallet from the pretty paper.

I stamped the flowers using Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo.
The leaves are stamped with Summer Starfuit. I did use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and still didn't get it perfect...UGH!!!

Two other SAB freebies are highlighted on my card, I used some ribbon and a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack and the Vine Street EF along the bottom.
Be sure and head over to the Still AddINKtive Blog to see what the rest of the DT did with these fun SAB sets!!

Merry Monday.....tis the season

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Time for a new Merry Monday Challenge!

This week is an awesome sketch:

I was looking through my stamps and stumbled upon this retired Stampin Up set that I bought well over a year ago and had never used, I thought it would be perfect for this sketch. The set is called "Polar Pals" and I just love these bears, which is why I looked for it and bought it off e-bay, the set was brand new and unmounted when I purchased it so I had to cut it out and mount it. Makes you appreciate the fact that Stampin' Up sets are cut now.

I stamped the bears onto my rustic white card stock and then again on a post it note. I then stamped them a third time onto some scrap card stock. I cut out the image on the post it note and used it to mask off my image so I could sponge the BG. I used Night of Navy to sponge in the night sky and then used my white gel pen to add in the snow.

I colored in the scarfs of the bears using my aqua painter and cherry cobbler and gumball green ink pads.
I then colored in the second stamped image on the scrap paper. I cut out the head and scarf  on the large bear and added it to the main piece with some dimensionals. On the smaller bear I cut out the body and head and lifted leg and added it over the main with more dimensionals. The main image is die cut with one of the label framelits.
The base of the card is night of navy and then the next layer is more of the rustic white that I embossed with a snowflake EF. The DSP is from the Print Poetry pack.
I added a yellow embossed star and some white bakers twine.
The sentiment comes from the Polar Bear set.

I am sure you will be inspired to play along!!

Here are our colors this week:

I pulled out a fave set of mine, the Stampin' Up "Greeting Card Kids".
You all know that I love this set and this sweet little girl can be used for many occasions, not just Valentine's.
I love her for friendship and 'thinking of you" type cards like the one I made here.
The base of the card is Pink Pirouette and then a layer of rustic white card stock.
The DSP is from a retired pack.

Still AddINKtive #4....Sympathy and Prayers

Hello Peeps!!
Time for another new challenge at Still AddINKtive Challenges!

This week it is a fun sketch and color challenge, you can make your card or project using just the sketch or just the colors or use both!!

The challenge this week on The Paper Players is to make a Sympathy card, so I decided to incorporate that into my card.
I used the Secret Garden set along with the matching framelit dies to make my card. I stamped the flower with versamark and emboss with white embossing powder. I did this several times so I could layer up the flowers.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and then the next layer is Early Espresso and the DSP on here is from the Print Poetry pack.
My card is kinda busy and all the flower and leaves sorta hides the sketch, but it is there I promise. :)
The sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
Be sure and hop on over to  Still AddINKtive to see what the rest of the girls did with this challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Merry Monday...Seasons Greetings

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Time for a new Merry Monday Cahllenge!

This week is a fun color challenge:

These colors say "Snowman" to me, so I pulled out my Stampin Up "Snow Much  Fun" Stamp set
I stamped the snowman onto some white card stock and colored him with my aqua painter and ink pads, using the three colors.

The base of the card is basic gray and then I used another layer of gray that I embossed with a snowflake EF.
I added a piece of retired DSP across the bottom and added some white satin ribbon with a pumpkin pie button.
I used my new oval framelits to die cut the snowman out and added some scallops around him usinf the Marina Mist.
The greeting comes from the Four the Holidays stamp set. I finished the card off with a few silver pearls.
Be sure and head over to Lesley's Blog-Always Playing with Paper to see what the rest of the Merry makers did with this color challenge, I am sure you will be inspired to play along!!

Sweet Sunday......Here For You

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

Here is the Sweet Sketch Karen has for us this week:

I pulled out a sweet new set, Stampin Up's Million Dollar Moments, this is a hostess set in the Spring Mini.
I love that silhouette image. I stamped with black stazon onto some confetti white card stock. I then stamped it again using some Summer Starfruit and cut out the umbrella and added it over the image with some dimensionals. I added the raindrops using Island Indigo ink. I matted the main image piece with Island Indigo card stock.

The base of the card is the Confetti White and then a layer of Island Indigo. The DSP is from the SAB catalog and is called Sycamore Street.  I added some Summer Starfruit ribbon and a couple of  gold pearls.
The sentiment is from the same set, and I used my 1-1/4 and 1-3/8 inch circle punches.
Finally for the top element of the sketch I added an embossed cloud. I used the Cloudy Day EF and cut out one cloud.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team has made with this sweet sketch:
