The Paper Players.......Thank You

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the challenge this week on  The Paper Players Blog'
This week it is a fun sketch challenge:

I put this together yesterday morning while I was waiting for my box of new goodies from Stampin Up.
I decided to use my Peaceful Petals stamp set for the circle element on the sketch. I colored on this Forever!!! I used my copic markers. I stamped twice and cut out layered up the flower. I added a button with a twine bow to the center.

The leaves are from the same set and are stamped and then colored with pear pizzazz.
The sentiment comes for the Wetlands stamp set.
The base of the card is Crisp Cantaloupe and then layer of white.

Thanks for stopping by!

FMS and Seize the Birthday........Warmest Wishes

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a couple of challenges. I used the sketch this week from Freshly Made Sketches

I also incorporated the challenge this week at Seize the Birthday

The toppings option this week is "Tag It".

I wanted to make a red flower in honor of Poppy Days for Memorial Weekend. So my flower is not a poppy but is bright red. I love how it turned out! I stamped the flower for Stampin Up's Peaceful Petals onto some PTI card stock with Memento black ink and colored using my copic markers.

The sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set and I used my stamp a ma jig to break apart the sentiment and stamp on my tag. All the DSP is from the Fresh Prints pack, that polka dot paper is some of my all time faves!!

Our Sweet Sunday Sketch team is taking a break this week so there will not be a new sketch tomorrow but will be back next Sunday.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Wishes for the Paper Players and Seize the Birthday

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a couple of challenges.
First up is the challenge at The Paper Players, this week the challenge is "Clean and Simple Floral"

and then the Challenge this week at Seize the Birthday, which is Anything Goes with topping option of Flowers.

Most of you know that CAS is not my style but I do find myself gravitating towards this style a bit more lately. I decide I would pull out this great Memory Box die I got ages ago and have not used much and make my floral card.
I made several die cuts of the Poppy and layered them up, I like the dimension you get by layering this type of die cut. I started with just some white and then I used old olive for the stems and then real red for the flower. I sponged the flowers with some cherry cobbler ink at the base.

The base of the card is some PTI white card stock and then another layer of white that I embossed with the stripes EF. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Blooming with Kindness set. I stamped with Black stazon onto the white card stock. I added a small bow with a pearl center on the end of the sentiment flag.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Sweet Sunday.....Rev Up the Fun

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I pulled out a fun set that is retiring from the Stampin Up catalog and is no longer available. I love this fun set called Rev Up the Fun. I was down to the wire making this card so I went fairly simple, but I still like how it came out.

I started with a base of real red card stock and used the Off the Grid stamp with real red ink and stamped the image a few times around the card base.
The next layer is white followed by some Silver Foil card stock. I embossed using the Chevron EF.

I like the masculine feel to this card it could be used for a little or big boy.
The image was stamped with black stazon and I colored it in with some red and yellow and a bit of gray.

The sentiment comes from the same set and was inked using black stazon and my real red marker.
I added the image piece and sentiment piece using foam tape.

Sweet Sunday....Miss You Already

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started  my card with a base of Crumb Cake card stock. I stamped randomly with a few images from the retired French Foliage stamp set using crumb cake ink.
I sponged the edges as well with crumb cake.
I layered a strip of DSP across the middle that is from the Gingham Garden pack and matted with Strawberry Slush cardstock.

The main panel is a piece of Frist Edition DSP that I painted with a some watered down white craft paint.
I curled and roughed up the edges a bit while the paper was still damp.
I sat it aside to dry and stamped my flowers from the Stippled Blossom stamp set. I used Strawberry Slush and Old Olive ink, stamping of once for the bottom layer and full strength for the top.

I added the flowers to the main panel with some dimensionals and then layered it onto the card base with more dimensionasl. The sentiment is from the retired Really Retro stamp set. I finished it off with some basic pearls.

Happy Birthday Wishes with the last Dynamic Duos Challenge

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made last week using the very last color challenge at The Dynamic Duos Blog.
I was too late to get my card into the actual challenge, but I still wanted to share it.

The colors to use where So Saffron, Pool Party and Smoky Slate. Such a Pretty combo.
I was really sad to hear that Lesley and Anne Marie had made the decision to close the dynamic duos blog. I had the pleasure of designing with them for a 6 month period and it holds a special place in my heart.
So even tho I am late posting my card I still wanted to post.

I used Smokey slate for my base and then a layer of White. The DSP on here is from the Sweet sorbet pack.
The flowers are stamped with Pool Party and So Saffron ink and are from the Morning Meadow stamp set. I die cut the leaves using the Secret Garden Framelits. The sentiment comes from the Wetland stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I off to get my hair cut and then have lunch with a friend hope you all have a great day.

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started out with a base of white and then followed with some basic black and then a layer of Pool Party card stock that I embossed with the decorative dots EF.

The DSP I used is from the Sweet sorbet pack and I matted the flag pieces with black card stock.
I die cut a film strip piece with some basic black card stock  using the die from the On Film set.
I stamped the flower from the Simply Sketched set onto some white and onto a scrap to layer. I colored using Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral ink and my aqua painter. I stamped the leaves onto scrap and colored using Pear Pizzazz and cut out and added to the image panel.
The piece behind is Summer Starfruit card stock.

The sentiment is from the Morning Meadow Hostess Stamp set.
