Splitcoast Color Challenge.....With Sympathy

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing another Corner Garden Card, this one is much like the last one I did, I just used different colors and a different sentiment.

I received an order for a set of these card after posting my last one and I was mixing them up just a bit, I took the opportunity with this card to use the SplitCoast Color Challange for my colors on this card.

Cherry cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight with the dessert option Add A Fourth Color

I used Wild Wasabi for my leaves.

The base of the card is Rustic Cream card stock and then a layer of Cherry Cobbler and then the image is stamped onto more Rustic Cream card stock. I then colored with my water brush and ink pads.

The sentiment is from the Blooming With Hope stamp set. When stamping  I got a line of black across the top from the rubber, my fault totally did not check to see if I had ink around the edge. So I used that little mishap to embellish. I added the row of pearls across the top to cover it and then added another row under the sentiment to balance it.

I then added some pearls to the center of a few flowers.

Hope you like it, this BG stamp is really fun to work with and to color, if you like to color or want to learn this is a great stamp to use.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday.......USA

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

While on vacation my friend Wendy and I worked on some 4th of July projects, in between all of our sightseeing, I will show you some of those items later this week, but when I got home after playing with my new Zinnia stamp that you all saw on last Sundays card, I wanted to make another 4th of July card.

I had picked up a pack of stickers at Hobby Lobby by K & Company a few weeks back so I pulled it out and this card came together rather quickly
The base of the card is Night of Navy card stock and then a layer of Rustic Cream and then all the the DSP on here is also from Hobby Lobby.

I did stamp just a bit, the splotches in BG behind the USA is stamped with some Tim Holtz distress ink.
The forever is part of a sticker, I just cut apart to use.
I added the tiny flags using my banner punch and punched out of the DSP different stripes.
I added a button with twine and the little star burst are stickers from the same pack.
I love all things Americana and especially in the muted tones on this card.

USA...forever indeed!!

Blended Birthday Greetings

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for a couple of challenges.
First up is the Freshly Made Sketch.

and also Seize the Birthday:

I pulled out my new single stamp from Stampin Up called Blended Bloom.
I stamped with black stazon onto white card stock and colored using my water brush and one of the new in colors Blackberry Bliss. I used some Hello Honey for the center as well.

The base of the card is Blackberry Bliss and then a layer of white. The DSP on here is from the Moonlight Madness pack.
I added some loops under my flower using some twine and the swirl leaves is a MFT die I picked up at a craft store while on vacation. The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set and then I added a few little sequins to finish it off.

Corner Garden......Thank You

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Last night I sat down for a bit to play with this new stamp set, it was loaned to me by a friend.
I had so much fun coloring up this image!

I used the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge for colors

I am also linking this to the  Paper Players 200th challenge
I used:

The set is Stampin Up's Corner Garden from the new cattie. It is actual a single stamp in the BG section.
I stamped the image onto some rustic cream card stock with black stazon and colored with a water brush and my ink pads.
I used Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Old Olive. The large flower in the front was colored using real red ink but ended up looking more pink than red, but I am fine with it. I stamped the large flower twice and colored it and snipped it out and popped it up with some dimesionals.

I trimmed the piece down a bit and added a Razzleberry mat behind the flower piece.

I added some basic pearls to the centers of the purple flowers and the sentiment is from the Stampin Up Four You stamp set.
I love this stamp and I am sure you will being seeing it again!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Sweet Sunday........Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Sorry for the lack of post lately, I was gone for a couple of weeks on vacation.
Had a great time with a some good friends in Pennsylvania.
Now onto my card.

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

While traveling to Pennsylvania, we drove, I was surfing around the net on my tablet and saw the sweetest card made using this new stamp set from Taylored Expressions and was instantly in love, I ordered it while driving down the road and it was at my house 6 days before I got home!! So as soon as I could after getting home I made this card. I colored the flowers using my copic markers. I love flowers and Zinnias were my Grandmothers favorite flower, she had some in her garden for cutting every year!

I started my card with a base of the Stampin Up Natural Composition paper, this sheet has a wood grain BG. I then wrapped another piece of the paper with some Bakers twine. Next is a layer of Tangerine Tango and then the DSP is from the Retro Fresh pack. Then I added another strip of the Composition paper. I die cut a circle of white and a scallop circle of tangerine to mount my bucket of flowers on. this stamp set has a matching die cut to cut the bucket and flowers, love that! Both sentiments come from the stamp set as well.

I am also linking this card to the Seize the Birthday Summertime Challenge

Sweet Sunday....Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I started my card with a base of one of the new Stampin Up In Colors, this one is my favorite of the new colors, so far anyway! It is called Blackberry Bliss. The DSP on here is also new, from the  Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. It features some of the new in colors including the other one on my card which is Hello Honey!

I didn't use one of my new stamp sets but instead grabbed this flower stamp from the two part stamping set called Too Kind. I was in a hurry with this card and I knew i could make a  nice card with this set. I stamped the lighter part of the flower with the Blackberry Bliss ink by stamping it off once on scrap paper. Then I stamped the second part of the flower full strength. The stems are stamped with another new in color called Mossy Meadow. I am loving these new in colors.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and is also stamped with the Blackberry Bliss ink.
I added a strip of Blackberry ribbon across the middle section of the sketch and flagged the ends
I finished it off with a few basic pearls.
