Happiest of Birthdays

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with a couple of challenges in mind.

I used the challenge this week at The Card Concept, which is Spring Flowers:

and I am linking to the Seize the Birthday challenge which is Anything Goes this week:

I was inspired by a card I saw on Connie Collins blog to pull out this fave stamp of mine, Stampin Up Best Thoughts, which is a hostess set.
I stamped with black stazon onto white card stock. I masked and stamped two more images.
I then colored with my Aqua Painter and ink Pads. I used Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive and a bit of Soft Sky to color the images and to shade around the edges a bit.

I matted the image with some Wisteria Wonder card stock and the mounted to the base with foam tape.

I added a couple of sequins and a few silver pearls.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.

I am gonna leave you with another cute baby pic:

This little girl has stolen my heart!!

Thanks for coming by today!

Freshly Made Sketches......Thinking of You

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Yesterday I took a break from not doing much at all, because I am having some serious back pain, and made a card. Luckily, my back doesn't bother me much if I am sitting so stamping is something I can do.

I took a peek at the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

I love this sketch, it is always nice to have a wide open space to work with, the possibilities are endless.

I had recently borrowed this Stampin Up set called Picture Perfect from a friend.  I love these pretty roses in the set and I thought it would be perfect for this sketch.
I used a peice of water color paper to start with. I did a wash of color using Marina Mist ink.
I laid this piece aside to dry while stamping the flowers and leaves.

I used three colors on the roses, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo.
I used Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi and Crumb Cake for the leaves.

I laid down some jute twine and used a glue dot to hold in place. I added the flower and leaves with dimensionals. The DSP on the side is from the Go Wild paper pack.
The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set.
I added a few iridescent sequins and more twine around the piece where the two papers come together and tied a bow.

I need to share another baby pic:

I don't think I mentioned in my last post her name
Audrey Lucille.
She is named after both of her great grandmothers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

The Paper Players.......You are just the nicest

Happy Day Peeps!!

Popping in here to share a card I made using the sketch this week at The Paper Players.

This week it is a great sketch:

I knew I wanted to use my Stampin Up Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, I am crazy about these.
I pulled out another fave of mine, the Go Wild DSP and decided on a few colors to use.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and then I used three strips of the DSP.

I die cut a circle using my MFT pierced circle dies.
the flowers are cut using some Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. I used a bit of Basic Black for the centers and then added some yellow candy dots. The leaves are cut from a scrap of card stock from my stash, I think it is Pear Pizzazz.

The sentiment comes from the  Picture Perfect stamp set.

I wanted to take a moment to share with you why I had been MIA this past week;

My beautiful grandaughter came into this world this past Tuesday, April 19th at 11;14 P.M.
We are over the moon about her, she is our first grandbaby and I could not be more thrilled.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Card Concept.......Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the inspiration/color challenge this week at The Card Concept

Beautiful, Bright and Fresh!

I had been itching  to color this beautiful rose from the Stampin Up Rose Wonder set and this was the perfect challenge to do so.

I stamped the image onto some white card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. I used a combo of colors for my flower, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Real Red and some Whisper White ink. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi. I colored around the flower Soft Sky.

The sentiment piece is stamped and then die cut with the matching dies to the stamp set. I love the sentiments and fonts in this set.

I kept the card fairly simple, I layered the flower image onto some Calypso Coral card stock and then onto the base with dimensionals.
I wrapped a bit of twine around the top of the card before mounting to the base and then added the sentiment with more dimensionals.
I finished if up with a couple of gold pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today!

SIP... thanks

Hello Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge.

This week it is a sketch:

I love this sketch and i love me a tilted panel!

I decided to pull out my Birthday Blooms set again, cos I love to color that flower.

I stamped and embossed the flower with white embossing powder. I used some Elegant Eggplant and Pear Pizzazz for the flower then I lightly colored all around the flower with Soft Sky.

I spent more time putting this card together than it took me to color this flower. I layered and relayered several color combos before finally just giving up and going with what you see.

The sentiment comes from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.
I add a bit of Silver Glimmer paper by the sentiment and at the edge of the main panel.
I finished off with a few little pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today!

The Challenge.......Birthday Wishes

Hello Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at The Challenge.

This week is a sketch:

I had just got the Botanical Blooms and matching framelits so I needed to use them ASAP!

I pulled out the Birthday Boutique DSP and pulled my colors for this card from it.

I used Pool Party, Blushing Bride and of course White, with a bit of Old Olive and Daffodil Delight thrown in.

I did move my sentiment to the middle of the card but added some pretty little rhinestones in the place where the sentiment was indicated in the sketch.

I do love the flowers framelits that cut these flower and I know I will be using them a lot!

Hope you like it

Freshly Made Sketches.......Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

Here is the fab sketch they have for us this week:

I decided to pull out my Birthday Blooms stamp set again.

I embossed the image onto some Stampin Up Thick Whisper White card stock using white embossing powder. I colored the image using my copic markers.

I fussy cut it out, I did cut away a bit of the more intricate pieces and then when back in and cut them out and added them back in, I mounted the flower piece to y embossed BG using dimensionals.

The embossed piece is also thick whisper white card stock and embossed with the brick wall EF.

The base of the card is more thick whisper white and the DSP is from the Go Wild paper pad. I used basic black card stock to mat the DSP.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment, which comes from the Rose Wonder stamp set.
I added just a few basic rhinestones here and there.

Hope you like, thanks for stopping by today.

Thank You Baby Cards

Happy Friday Peeps!!

I spent the afternoon yesterday making a bunch of thank you cards.

We will soon be welcoming our first grand baby into the world and my daughter was in need of some thank you cards.

I wanted to keep them fairly simple and this is what I came up with.

I wasn't really sure when I sat down at my desk what I was going to do, I had forgot about this retired baby set called A New Little Someone, but when I pulled it out I decided it would be perfect.

I stamped the bunny with some Brown Memento ink and colored in the the bow, feet pads and ears using my copic markers

The base of the card is Strawberry Slush card stock.
The sentiment is from the new Rose Garden stamp set.
I embossed the bottom portion of the card using the perfect dots EF.

I then added a strip of gold foil paper across the bottom of the image panel. I used some sticky tape to attach it.
These are flat with no embellishments for easy mailing but I think they are effective.

Hope you like them, thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Wishes

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using this fun new set by Hero Arts called You're So Lovely.
I fell in love with this set at first sight, the flowers are awesome and the leaves and the little berries, all so cute and great sentiments as well. It had matching dies so that made it even better.
I got my set and dies at a local stamp store.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of white and then the DSP is from Go Wild paper stack/
The flowers are made by using some Crisp Cantaloupe card stock stamped with calypso coral ink.

I added a few basic pearls to the flower centers and around the grouping.
The leaves are Pear Pizzazz card stock and Wild Wasabi ink.

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Wishes for the Card Concept

Hello Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the challenge this week at The Card Concept Blog.

Here is the inspiration piece:

I love the little hats in this photo, toooo cute huh?

I decided to make a wedding themed card using the Stampin Up Rose Wonder stamp set and framelits.

I am crazy about this rose framelit, it is awesome!
I cut two using some Very Vanilla card stock and layered and glued them together.
I then glued the stack to a piece of Basic Black cardstock that is matted with Very Vanilla and then some more Basic Black.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and then Basic Black. The DSP is from the Timeless Elegance paper pack.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set as is the sentiment panel and another framelit cuts it out. I added just a bit of basic black stitched ribbon behind the sentiment.

Hope you like it!

Vicki!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello my sweet peeps!!!

Today I am sharing another card I colored st the same time I colored the one I posted yesterday.
This is the Best Thoughts from Stampin Up.

This one I colored using Crushed Curry ink along with a bit of Calypso Coral.
I stamped the image with black stazon ink onto some rustic cream card stock.

I used Wild Wasabi for the leaves.
I used my white gel pen to color the stamens.

I decided to add a Sympathy sentiment because it is nice to have this kind of card ready when it is needed. This sentiment is from a retired SU set.

The main image is matted with a die cut piece of Crushed Curry. this particular die cut is from My Favorite Things. I had to make it a bit smaller to fit my piece, so I just cut it and then ran it through again cutting it off shorter on two sides to fit my image.

The DSP on here is from the English Garden pack.
I added a few tiny pearls here and there and added the main image two the base with dimesionals.

Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card made with one of my favorite Stampin Up sets called Best Thoughts.

I just love this flower and I love to color it, this one is colored with Cherry Cobbler ink and highlighted with some white craft ink. The leaves are colored with Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi ink.

The main image is matted with Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The card base is some Rustic Cream card stock from PTI. I dug into my enormous amount of retired DSP for some Cherry Cobbler paper. I am not sure the name of the pack this came from because the cardboard piece with the name was not with the pack anymore, but I am fairly sure it was a Christmas pack. I added some gold accents, some little gold enamel dots and a bit of gold foil paper.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Birthday Greetings

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I sharing another card I made. I used a new to me set from Stampin Up called Helping Me Grow. Of course it has flowers so I had to get it. These blooms remind me of hyacinths, not sure if that is what they are but  kinda looks like them, well sort of! LOL!

These are stamped with Black Memento ink and colored with my copic markers

The base of the card is Wisteria Wonder and the main image is matted with Perfect Plum.

The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set.
I added a small banner made with some Silver Glimmer paper.

Very simple card, hope you like it.
Let me know what you think, trying to get back in the swing of stamping.
I made a couple more cards today that I will show you over the next couple of days.

Thanks for stopping by!
