Paper Players...........You're in My Thoughts

Happy Wedesday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for a dear friend using the challenge this week at The Paper Players.

I wanted to make a card for a friend who is going through a difficult time and I knew I wanted to make a sunflower using the Stampin Up Thoughtful Branches set. I took a look at the challenge over at the Paper Players and saw it would be perfect for my card.

I guess a sunflower is not the kind of fall treat that you eat (unless you count the seeds) but it is a Fall treat none the less.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake cardstock.
Then I used Crushed Curry and Early Espresso cardstock for the next layers.
I stamped the leaf image from the set on the Espresso cardstock using Espresso ink.

The sunflower is made with Crushed Curry ink and cardstock.
The center is Early Espresso and the stem and leaves are Old Olive cardstock

The sentiment comes from the same set and is tamped with Early Espresso ink.

I finished up with a few candy dots.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Creative Challenge....Halloween Treats

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

It has been a long time since I did a creative challenge with my friend Wendy at WeeBeeStampin4Fun
But she issued a challenge to me last week to make a Halloween treat using these mini coffee cups. She had made the cutest little Christmas one and we was chatting and she showed it to me and I thought it was so adorable and I told her I had a bunch of those cups and that I thought it would be cute made with a Halloween theme.
So she issued her challenge and I happily accepted.

I frankly had been dreaming about making a Halloween flower with the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper every since I first saw it. I knew I wanted to use black along with it. I had some of the Black Glimmer paper from last year so I pulled it out to use.
The only issue with the glimmer paper is that it is hard to glue, I ended up using my glue gun to make this flower.

I used a sentiment from the Spooky Fun set. I thought it was perfect for my "boo"tiful flower.

My next one is very much inspired by a sample in the mini catalog.

This one I used the Spooky Fun set along with the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies.
I love the tree and fence in these dies.

The DSP is from the Halloween Night Specialty pack.

Here is a side view so you can see the little cup in the treat holder.

I used some of the Halloween Night bakers twine and Halloween Enamel dots on my treat holder too.

Be sure and head over to Wendy's Blog and see her amazing creation.

Thanks for stopping by today!

FMS......birthday wishes

Hello Peeps!!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I had to use my new Thoughtful Branches set with matching framelits. I had held out on getting this limited edition set, telling myself I did not need it, but finally I caved and grabbed it at the last minute. They have since extended the time line to get it, while supplies last. So don't be like me, grabb it while you can, it is seriously cute.

I made a fun Christmas card with it too, I will show that to you all later next week.

There has been so many awesome examples with this set, but I choose to keep my first card with it fairly simple. I stamped the flower head with Marina Mist ink onto Marina Mist card stock.  then die cut it out, so easy. I die cut the stem and leaf section with some Pear Pizzazz.

The base of the card is thick Whisper White and then a couple of strips of Crumb Cake DSP.
I then die cut a circle with more thick Whisper White.

The flower was then added to the circle using some snips of dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the build a Birthday stamp set.

I added a Marina Mist dot and a rhinestone to the sentiment piece.

Clean and Simple and fast to put together.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Hello Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

Yesterday I had an opportunity to play a bit at my stamp table, and I decided to take a look at the sketch challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches, I wanted to make a Halloween card because I finally got some new goodies from the Holiday mini and also because you all know I LOVE Halloween.

I used this fun new set called Cookie Cutter Halloween with it's matching punch. My favorite stamp in this set has to be this adorable little Mummy. He just makes me smile.

I started my card with a base of Basic Black card stock.
I then used some DSP from the Halloween pack called Halloween Night.

Did you see that Pumpkin Pie glimmer paper?  So pretty huh?

I stamped and colored the mummy and then using the punch to punch him out.

I punched him out a bow tie using more of the glimmer paper.

I stamped my sentiment with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Inspired by all the little things.......Happy Birthday Sunflowers

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

First up I want to apologize for my long blogging break, I have had such a busy August with work, babysitting and just life in general that I had little or no time to create and so I decided I would just take a little break to get it all lined out. So I hope I have gotten things organized enough to find time for a bit of stamping between all the craziness that is my life! :)

Anyway on to my card, I was asked a while back by my sweet friend Lesley Croghan  if I would be the guest designer for this week at Inspired by All the Little Things. I was thrilled to play along.

Here is our Inspiration this week:

I love sunflowers, they are one of my all time favorites. so when I went looking for a stamp set to use I found this fun set from Stampin Up that was an extra bonus set a few months back in the Paper Pumpkin Kits.

It is a fun set, I love the sketchy look of the flowers.
I stamped the flowers using Crushed Curry ink and the centers are Early Espresso ink.
I used garden Green for the stems and leaves.
The sentiment is from the same set and is also stamped with Early Espresso ink.

The base of the card is Night of Navy card stock and I used a piece of some retired DSP across the bottom.
I added some 1/4 inch stitched ribbon (also retired) across the bottom and tied a pretty little bow.
I have not used any ribbon on a card in a long time, hard to believe, I use to never think a card was finished without it. Now I almost never add it.
I finished up with a few Night of Navy candy dots.

I must share a new picture of our sweet Audrey:

She is growing fast!

Be sure and head over to the Inspired by All the Little Things Blog and play along with us!!!
